Opinions are often formed by what's big when we're young, and for me that's definitely true with Survivor Series. I loved Survivor Series 2001. A lot of people criticize the Invasion angle, and I get it, but I loved it. I was 10/11 as it was going on, and I loved seeing the ECW and WCW logos, imagery, and talents (that they could get). It is pretty hilarious to think that the last time we saw the Alliance, ECW and WCW were represented (60%) by Steve Austin (who was fired by WCW before he ever reached his true potential, but he did have some really good matches there, and his short run in ECW was good too), Vince McMahon's son, and Kurt Angle. Even funnier that people like Christian and Test joined joined the stable. But the storyline as a whole was a fun way to see people like DDP and Booker T for the first time. Not to mention ECW guys like RVD, Dreamer, etc. But anyway, really enjoyed SVS '01, great main event and undercard (really fun seeing the unification of the belts). Kinda wild that WCW, the successor to Jim Crockett Promotions, "died" for the final time in Greensboro.
