Punk has been gone from AEW for 6 full months, and this week we get two new figures announced.
I know they can take a year to get made, and maybe AEW operates differently from WWE, but I can't see WWE ever allowing multiple figures to come out 6 months later of a major star who left the company, esp. since he's going to get some proceeds from it.
It indicates to me that AEW is on least at cordial terms with Punk, and makes me think there's a decent chance of him coming back...

I am fine if he never comes back. I have always thought he was a cancer backstage. I have never been a big fan of his. I thought his ring work was solid and I would watch him, but nothing he did in ring ever had me talking about it after the event. And like I said when he first signed with AEW I would get a figure or two when they made him, but as far as wrestling goes I hadn’t missed him for all that time he was gone from wrestling and after the first month hype died down I feel the same way. And I still feel that way now.

In ring and character wise, he is one of my favorites ever but it kinda sucks that that character of being an bunghole somewhat translates to real life. For AEW I hope he comes back and is able to do business the right way because there’s definitely some more matchups to do
For figures, after selling the majority of my collection, I have the Walmart Punk MOC and I’ll buy any Punk in shorts whether it’s Revolution or ROH

I’ve been watching wrestling since 1999, and IMO he’s the most overrated guy I’ve ever watched. I don’t care if he comes back or not.

He hasn’t left the company though. He’s under contract. Lies! He was fired straight up for a minor scuffle, fired for saying too much on a minor presser, and fired for standing up against those in power! BUT little did we all know, TK secretly has been mending fences this entire time! He, Omega, the Bucks, and Punk all had a sit down. They all worked it out. Punk is back, baby!

Anyway, I hope we hear his music tonight. His arm should be getting close to being healed. I don't want to see him in a program with MJF though. Danielson? I'll buy that for a dollar!

Just to clarify -- my question was, do you think this means he is on good terms/comes back to AEW. Not trying thoughts on him as a wrestler/person

did you forget this exact thing happened with Zelina, Bronson Reed and the last Adam Cole plus AEW is in the money making business and Cm Punk was and still is the biggest star they've had. |
