So after researching I have come up with a list of who it could be
1st I only listed those that are known to be under contract.
Big John studd just had a legend in series 11
Bruno Sammartino Likely
Brutus Beefcake just had Zodiac.
Davey Boy Smith we saw a unreleased render of Bulldog but with no Dynamite very unlikely.
Don Muraco needs an update but didn't seem very wanted.
Greg Valentine just had him in Legends 7
Harley Race getting an updated Elite soon.
Honky Tonk Man top candidate.
Million Dollar Man Top Candidate as well
Bam Bam just had a updated Elite.
Mr Wonderful just was in Legends but need to recreate WM 1 with Hogan and T
Iron Shiek needs a release as last has been over 20 series ago.
Jim Duggan another been needing a new release.
Jim Neidhart feel like that will be a tag Team set release.
Junkyard just had a Legends and Chase.
Kamala may or may not be under contract anymore.
Nikolia Volkoff just had a Legends little bit ago but again feel like he would be in a tag set.
Roddy Piper same as Orndorff feel he needs one. Maybe throw in his wcw later in life head to make it 2 in 1
Warlord just had an updated elite
Ricky Steamboat just had an updated elite 9 series ago.
But giving the research I feel like Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff would be next as it completes WM 1
But what are your thoughts is Series 3.

Going by the logic that characters with recent releases are less likely…then I would say that Jake Roberts should not have happened

So if that's the formula I guess Savage v Steamboat but he's got a UE coming soon. I guess Valentine v Junkyard but that fued is remembered for alot of racial insults Million Dollar Man could be Savage. Andre has 1 UE coming. It's clear UE are a hit and people want more variety not just repaints. Piper v Hogan but I feel like another Hogan would not be needed right now. |

If I had to guess I'd say either Hart Foundation, Warrior and Honky Tonk Man (or Warlord), or Beefcake & Valentine. I also wouldn't be surprised if they did Macho Man and Steamboat next. They seem to be doing A LOT of Savage lately. I wonder if maybe his contract will be up soon..
Who I really hope to see, but isn't likely is One Man Gang, Haku, and King Kong Bundy. I wouldn't even care who they pair them with.

If we're going at this from a "toyetic" perspective, I think there are two front runners for the next set:
Macho Man VS. Ricky Steamboat
Ultimate Warrior VS. Honky Tonk Man
I think they would make the most aesthetic additions to the current roster of the Coliseum Collection;
Other possibilities:
Hart Foundation (Bret & Anvil)
Macho Man vs. Ted Dibiase
Macho Man & Miss Elizabeth
I think the line desperately needs Roddy Piper - but they seem to be pairing them in classic "feuds" or matchups - not sure who all in the LJN line Piper would pair better with than Red & Yellow Hogan and it's too soon for Hogan - he was in the first set.

I’m hoping when they do savage they release him with George Steele, wrestlemania 3 is great and all but I liked that feud a lot more.
For series 3 my guess would be one of these
Honky tonk man / Warrior
Sheik / Volkoff
Harley Race / JYD
But I’d really like to see anyone of these instead
Piper / Adonis
King Kong Bundy / SD Jones
Hercules / Billy Jack Haynes

I guess they could use Brock’s for Sammartino, Muraco, Warlord but until we know they have more torsos to choose from I think it going to more of the average sized wrestler. So I think/hope the next set will be Piper and Orndorff.

So with that said, I think Piper/Orndorff is likely. Even though we just got Orndorff in the same attire not that long ago either. I'm cool with that. Hopefully he'll have multiple expressive heads, correct height, etc.. |

I'm going to guess DiBiase and Duggan.
I'm really curious to see how they make DiBiase as a UE. Will his suit be cloth? Molded suit like his LJN? Hybrid with two sets of arms, legs and torsos: both suited and wrestling gear?

My first thoughts would be macho/liz Andre/studd or hart foundation…..buuuuuttttt(in macho voice)
UE Target Bret is coming out soon
Andre is in the next UE set with Seth
Rumors of Macho in the set after that
So with those coming out, would they release the same characters so close to each other?
So Maybe Hot Rod Rowdy Roddy Piper could be in series 3?
He could be paired with
Orton
Orndorff
Hogan (unlikely, because he’s in series 1)
Adonis (we can dream)
Snuka (would be the most iconic set)
Bruno (had a great feud with pipes)
