Sure there will. They said that about Hogan ... then Stone Cold came along. You can argue The Rock was greater than Austin. Cena? We're in a lull right now with who we have ... but another guy will come along. They always do. nah. Cena.....😳 There's no argument for Rock being Greater than Austin. He hit his stride in popularity when Austin was injured & when Stone Cold returned he went back to #2 immediately. Hogan & Austin is also a different argument. When I say there will never be another like Austin I'm referencing the time frame, culture etc. Wrestling fans will never foam at the mouth for a hero like Austin again the way they did. The business has changed far too much. I've no doubt another popular guy will come along but he won't touch Austins level. Well I'll give you we'll never have another anti-hero during an "attitude era". We'll have the anti-hero, but never again the smut. Perfect character at the perfect time. That's why I chuckle when guys on the Interwebs still argue about ratings. Wrestling will never get 5s again. Ever. That was a one time thing. And Austin fueled it. Now we have nerds bickering over if a show did over or under a million acting like it's the ratings war again. |

hogan didnt have a weekly live/almost live to show to wrestle on back in the day, but those friday main event cards (hulk vs andre, & mega-powers vs twin towers)ratings were thru the roof.
