I'm happy Mattel got around to returning to Rey's entrance great figure. I'm not not an Ultimate fan but it came out great.
I'm interested to see what torso they'll use for RVD.

If that UE RVD leak is true, it's gotta be One Night Stand 2006 right? That or I’d love to see his attire from the ladder match with Eddie on Raw. It’s a real colorful attire. RVD is a good candidate for a chase ultimate |

I REALLY HOPE IT'S AN EARLY 2000'S RVD. If not, I'm fine with it being the ONS attire and then a 2000's attire as a main release.

The usual mixed feelings from me when I hear of figures being exclusives to US stores that refuse to ship outside the US - deep frustration at the price I'll need to pay to get hold of them (please no chase to add to that fire) but I'm happy that they exist at all.
Really hoping these will be available internationally like the Legends are soon to be - as ever, in Steve we trust!

Mattel has the perfect chance to recreate the Jakks Limited RVD with ecw and wwe titles. Must happen with the ultimate.

- Eddie looks great overall. Not high on the torso choice, but i'm sure it won't look too bad in person, especially with the shirt on.
- Rey looks great, especially when completed with the Entrance Gear. I've been waiting for them to make an Elite version of the EG, so now that we've got this Ultimate, it's definitely an upgrade.
- This has to be Edge's best headscan yet. It's a bit reminiscent of his Elite 8/Basic 58 head, which of course had mixed reactions for the final product, so hopefully this head comes out looking as good as it does here. I'll definitely be doing a lot of fixups in that case.
As for the logo's, maybe i'm a bit lost here, so someone might be able to explain it better. To my understanding, MPAA has the copyright over the R & square? Or the 'Rated R(square)'? If that's the case, surely there's a way around it to still include the 'Rated' and 'Superstar', even if it's just leaving the R off, or going real fine as to put a circle instead of the square around the R. It'd be slightly inaccurate, but at least the design is still there. After seeing the 2K23 06 Edge, the attire just looks wrong without it. It's also strange how after all these years, it's only become an issue right now.
Regardless, hopefully WWE and/or Mattel can work around it to make something work. It'd be a real shame if after all these years, right when Mattel starts doing Flashback Edge's, we can't even get them accurate because of this.

From what I gather from this thread yeah, they took issue with it. Curbstomp City's gonna have a mess of orders now to right this wrong, me included He's missing the correct logos in WWE 2K23 as well  He is, although they forgot to remove the logos off his blue attire that is in the game from previous years (they’ll probably patch it out or change the logos at some point) This really sucks and is the kind of thing that they should just pay for if that is an option, the entire peak of his career he used that logo, he’s even still using it now (unless they told him to stop this year). They can’t make anything from the biggest part of his career without it looking horrible now. Just the Matt Hardy feud and nothing after that. |
