Just recently I have became a big fan of this tandems work. Even when Barbarian was swapped in for Samu I thought they were great (Barbarian was a great team guy though) & I wonder did Vince underutilise them?
two extremely agile big men who seemed capable of working with a variety of teams and liked getting their sh*t in & had some great looking offence.
thoughts?

Loved the original Headshrinkers. Would have liked to have seen a prolonged feud between them and the Steiners in 1993 over the tag titles instead of the Quebecers.
The face turn in 1994 seemed a little odd they appeared to get over with the fans. Losing the tag titles in a non-televised event did them no favors IMO.

They were always entertaining in the ring and I remember my grandfather getting a huge kick out of when the camera would pan to Afa outside the ring and he would be munching on a turkey or doing something weird with his face.
One of the fondest/worst memories I have of them is that I saw them wrestle the Steiner Brothers in Edinburgh in 1993 and their music was horrible! Just like when Skinner made his entrance in Glasgow in 1992, they had it way to loud and it went right through me.
I prefered them as heels and while I liked it when Barbarian or Sionie or whatever he was called joined the team, I hated the whole thing with them wearing boots and it was like they had never worn shoes before lol.

Loved the SST. The stuff with the Midnights and Road Warriors was fantastic. Heyman as their manager was icing on the cake.Shout out to their WCCW stint as well.
Headshrinkers I liked as heels.Once they were faces I lost interest. The match with the Steiners at Mania man what a classic

Thats what I was saying about them....they worked well with most teams in fairness. Their style was very adaptable. Able to go toe to toe with the heavy hitter like Steiners, Road warriors etc then able to be the heel powerhouses against lighter babyface teams (midnights, Smokin Gunns) with ease.

I said this in the past here but I wish we got the feud with the Natural Disasters in late 92.It was teased after they cost em the belts but then it was dropped.
Wouldve been interesting to see how they meshed

The SST in WCCW was fantastic. One of the best matches I saw was them against Kamala & Kamala II, both teams being heels. Just brutal.

Wouldve been interesting to see how they meshed I genuinely don't know why Vince disbanded them. They would have been excellent opponents for the Steiners too....the division was wafer thin

I recently watched Samu absolutely flatten a guy in an old tag match, to the point where the dude was so knocked out they had to drag him to his corner and leave him lying there for the rest of the duration of the match
great team! brought legitimacy to the sport

You know that WMIX match is one of my “Top 3” all-time matches. Headshrinkers/SST was when they were good.

Loved them when they came in. Always like non talkers as it adds a level of mystique. Lost interest though when they went face. I don’t think Lou Albano added much either. Dionne/Barbarian was an interesting addition after Samu ‘ate some bad fish’.

I was delighted to see them en route. Another gap in my tag champs filled in with them & the Steiner's dropping this year.
