Who else thinks this would have been a great match for SS that year? It would have also been a great feud on RAW at that time. I know HHH took time off at that time from July to October but it would have been epic to see.
I loved their segment on RAW during the draft and it bought back memories of their Attitude Era feuds but it sucked to see it not really go anywhere… nonetheless a great segment regardless!

You mean the 5 Star Classic that was Angle vs. Eugene didn't meet your expectations?
I think H taking time off was the best move for him. I don't see an outcome other then getting jumped into a feud with Cena immediately for Summerslam for Triple H if he stuck around. And everyone was beyond tired of Trips being in every title match. A break and a feud with Flair felt fresh. Even if it was only for a handful of months before, you know, jumping back into the title picture again.
