how can they make that Monday Night War Scott Hall the way it looks in that proto and be OK with it? come on The more I see it, the more it bothers me. Like that’s just not okay. Mattel has to fix this right? Or will they say it’s too far into production to make the change? There has been so much GREAT stuff shown - but there’s been SO MANY questionable choices made as well… Hollywood Rocks chest tattoo being inaccurate, DM Foley missing his wrist and hand tape, Scott Hall missing his ponytail and the pants not being tucked into his boots, Johnny Gargano syndrome in 2023, and the torso chosen for Solo in Elite 104. I know I’m missing a couple as well. that horrible rubber tank top as well, no reason they should be using that on an elite not to mention an ultimate |

Scott Hall's pants not being tucked into the boots just looks weird. Makes me willing to pass on the figure. I noticed Luger has the same pants/ legs. Laziness and/or cost cutting move. |

A highly requested attire for YEARS, and that's it? Like someone else has mentioned, how can they look at that and give it the green light? Hopefully they fix it before release.
Just like Mr. Perfect with that ugly singlet, if this is the final formula for Hall, i'm definitely passing on it.
Mattel has shown a few great pieces for this reveal, but damn... The bad stuff is BAD. Really makes you sit there and think "Who thought this was a good idea?"

Unless Mattel adds them for the actual release, it’s annoying they won’t give the HBK figures knee pads after finally adding them to his figures the last few years. I have the original WM14 HBK and love it outside of the lack of knee pads. Sad to see the re-release likely won’t have them either based on the proto.
The Nitro-debut Hall is a huge letdown as well. Mattel is cheapening out again by using existing parts rather than give this highly-desired figure the tooling it deserves.

Is that Hall going to have that vibrant blue "jeans" style that RA Bischoff and RA Taker have? I sincerely hope not. Also, I feel like if you're ever going to do the jeans DDP proper, he should have the same style of jeans, so you'd get more milage out of doing it here.
That's one thing Jakks did pretty consistently better than Mattel - jeans texture. Mattel does it right sometimes, but it's on-and-off.

Jeans, hair/beard, titles, tape etc... A lot of what they did looked so good because of the texture detail in it. Hair always looked great because of the texture & shading, rather than it looking like a flat gelled mop placed on a head like some of Mattel's. As for Titles, i still think Jakks has the best out there in terms of plates (aside from custom belt makers). The texture & detail in the World Heavyweight Title's is still unmatched. |
