Hey guys, I've actually got to work today. My gf got pissed when I mentioned taking today off since I was out of work not long ago for Hulk Hogan coming back to Raw but I've already used vacation days for comic con so at least I will be off for that. I really hope you guys see the figures you want today and let's all hope for all the Hulkamaniacs that we see more red and yellow hulks today, especially a red and yellow Hulk Hogan elite with the winged eagle title around his waist MOC.

With the Nitro stage reveal I'm really hoping to see lots of WCW reveals this year. And PLEASE Mattel, push WWE for deeper cuts than just the usual "WWE-guys" who've already had loads of figures... I'm dying for some WCW mid-carders, tag-teams, cruiserweights/luchas, managers, women, announcers, referees, etc. That said I'm happy to see Gooker with his egg for the WWE fans, nice to see the odd celebration of wrestlecrap. Surely that Gooker figure's WCW counterpart would be The Yeti with a giant breakaway block of ice. Man how hilarious awesome would that figure be.  |

My buddy is at the toy shop today and actually having a reveal party like he always does. He's even keeping old Wrestlemanias on the tv all weekend. |

nWo Eric Bischoff is my biggest WCW want at the moment, but if some deep-cut WCW talent like Glacier, La Parka, Ultimo Dragon, etc., got released I'd be over the moon. I wonder if we could see an nWo Dusty? NWO Bischoff in jacket and jeans is a given, but I'd also love a Slamboree 1998 version in wrestling gear, with scruffy hair and stubble.  And yeh would love an NWO Dusty in Red Jacket, Outsiders t-shirt, jeans, and an older looking serious/mean headcan. |

My head (wallet) is spinning from the Nitro backing, Target Legend pre-orders, and a few other items.... so I'm not clear-headed as to what might be headed our way this week.... I'm almost afraid because my credit card can't take much more of this! I haven't pulled the trigger on Gobbledy Gooker because I just can't drop another $75 on such a frivolous figure (wasn't Gooker like WWE's biggest disappointment - ever?)..... but I have a feeling I will eventually regret not ordering the Gooker. I'd really be happily surprised to see a new Ric Flair figure. It's been almost a year since we got any new Flairs and I've been doing head & attire swaps.... but something new for Ric Flair would really make my day! My unlikely wish list: Doctor of Style, Slick..... Coliseum Collection Savage/Elizabeth..... a WCW Eric Bischoff..... and a Hulkamania-Style Jimmy Hart. Taker/Gooker 2-pack is already showing as unavailable as of 10 minutes ago. I was on the fence about it and now it sold out. As for Flair, is he even available? I think Steve might have said in the Q&A thread that he's not available to them at the moment.Also yeah, a nWo Eric Bischoff would make me so happy. I'm hoping for The Disciple as well as I need him displayed next to Hogan (and Bischoff if he gets announced). How cool would all three of them look at the top of the UE Nitro stage cutting a promo with Mean Gene? Well I guess we don't know.... he was with WWE, then he wasn't.... now it seems like he is with them somewhat (the "whooo is back at the RAW open).... my point was, I'd love it if we got a nice Flair figure "surprise" as part of today's reveals... "hey guys, we've got Flair rights again!" would be great news to me! And my feelings are mixed on Gooker. I want(ed) to order it..... but we were soooo mad at the time! That's what was in the egg? Do you all remember how dumb that was? How disappointed we were? Nobody liked the Gooker (at the time).... I have no idea how this has become such a fondly-remembered WWE moment.... and yet I do want it. But I can't justify spending $75 (after just pledging over $400) on something we all billed as WrestleCrap at it's worst..... Gooker looks great though! |
