Two of the biggest & greatest stars ever… who would you choose? It could be based off anything you like such as overall entertainment value, personal preference, mic skills, ring skills, better matches, box office drawing, crowd pops, better feuds/rivalries/storylines, bigger fan appeal etc.
I’m going with Stone Cold overall based on nearly everything that I mentioned but many will say that The Rock ticks all those boxes as well. I’d also say that these two are my personal favs ever but Stone Cold barely gets the win for me.

Yea Austin for me as well. Both are great in their own right but there's something about a serious promo over talking about monkey nipples, solid wrestling techincal skills over a bit of hokey-ness that i'd lean towards Austin.

Austin is the better wrestler but The Rock is the better entertainer, personally I feel Austin was better as he was the reason Rocky was made

Austin is tied with Sting for my favorite ever but Rock is definitely entertaining

I choose Stone Cold, because when many think of the Attitude Era they think of him. His feuds with the Rock were very memorable and many loved it. Stone Cold just seem to get more excitement than the Rock does for me.

Man, this is even harder for me to call than Bret and HBK!
I feel like I could give you an answer today and then change my mind tomorrow.
I was there for the rise of Austin and Rock and they were both awesome. However there was something magical about Austin's rise in 97 and 98 that just cannot be duplicated.
I know it is a cop out, but I'm calling a tie. They are both great on the mic and both great in the ring. I do not care what anyone says, Rock was a fantastic in ring performer.

Austin...& for me it isn't even f#cking close.
Rock was great too but....he was only "the guy" when Austin wasn't there.

Rock overtook Austin in 2000 & Steve never caught back up if you ask me. That's why Austin chose to turn heel. He was stale because he was number 2 babyface.
