Bret as the mat wrestler but HBK as the entertainer, seller, promo, gimmick, personality, charisma. Basically every other category that matters besides theme music. I'd give that to Bret as well lol. Tie for attire. HBK was more flashy with his attires but Bret always looked like a million bucks.

a tie on this one for me both got big around same time. both impacted wrestling HUGE in ways, bret a bit more, but shawn stayed in ring longer to give more in later years What if Bret wrestled another 5-10 years? You think he’ll overtake HBK? Or naaaa |

If Bret wrestled from 01-2010 then he would have had way too many classics… all those guys you mentioned plus Cena , Lesnar , Orton, Batista, etc |

It's just something about that guitar riff in the beginning that gets me hyped up. Love HBK's music too. The drums (im guessing) are killer. Unfortunately for me, by the time I got into wrestling it was when Undertaker and Austin were feuding around 98 or 99 and Rock was in the middle of his rise as he had just left the NOD in the last year or so as well. So I missed out on Bret Hart. Even in video games he either wasn't in them like WWF No Mercy on N64, HCTP, SYM & JBI on PS2 or he was in them and had no authentic entrance music like WCW vs NWO Revenge also on N64. Hell I think the first video game I got to experience Bret Hart in was the initial SVR game. Then I had to do my deep dive on what limited internet access I had bc I was curious as to why this wrestler I'd only seen in a Nintendo game had such a high overall. Good times. Love both their themes though. |

I'm not even sure Bret could get a good match out of Cena... The crowd being into it would raise the match quality tbh but Cena’s had some good matches over the years against HBK, HHH, Taker, Bryan, Punk, Edge, Orton, Angle etc. I’d say Bret vs Cena would have delivered. I don’t think Bret or HBK have ever had a bad match that I can remember. |

We probs would have saw Bret in HIAC, TLC, Ladder, Elimination Chamber matches etc maybe he would have won the Rumble. Imagine more Bret/Austin, Bret/HBK plus a proper feud with Bret/Rock! If Bret still wrestled from 2000-2010/2015 on a part time schedule then imagine how bigger & better he’d be? Easily an argument for the best performer ever. |

Bret all day every day to me. He always came off as more believable and is the greatest in ring performer I’ve ever seen. Kurt Angle is the only one who can touch his overall in-ring work IMO.
