50k in a presale is insane. I think I read that Clash at the Castle did 30k so this will absolutely surpass the 62k attendance that did. I hope they pull off anywhere from 70-90K

I also didn’t expect them to do any better tbh... I thought 50/60K but I hoped for more and now it looks like they’ll be doing more after all! And I’ve seen a lot of people claim secondary and they are probably right but I mean that’s every big event has a giant secondary presence. Wwe, nfl, concerts. So I mean still great that it drew this level of interest. It’s still an impressive number for a number 2 company... damn impressive. I hope they keep up the good work!

Phil Brooks hasn’t been on tv since August and still sold 50k tickets. Bless our Chaotic Master Punk.

50K on the presale is absolutely fantastic news. If they don't sell a single extra ticket it's still a massive, massive success. I originally thought 60-70k was the limit, but if they heat up it could legit go 80k+.
The secondary market has extremely little on it right now, which is also very encouraging. I think on day one only like 300 tickets were on StubHub, which is absolutely unheard of. There were more tickets for Forbidden Door on there day 1.
What a great time to be a fan of wrestling.

Paid attendance MAYBE around 20k. Everything else will be papered. A take that bad should be a capital offence

Even though I don't watch AEW, 50,000 tickets sold so far (and counting) is hella impressive. Taking into account that the UK only get Raw and Smackdown once a year, I still would have expected only half those numbers.

LOL oops what? Good for them for "selling" that many tickets. But again, they can't sell out a small arena in Dallas Texas. The only way I would ever be impressed is if they could EVER do this in the United States where it matters. This is what's hilarious about everything. They are doing this in another country, that's not even Canada, a country that doesn't get promotions from the US there all but what? Once a year for a Raw?? Once every few years for a WWE PPV? Whatever the case. Of course they are going to sell tickets because they don't get anything. It's amazing how many of you are imbeciles. Sell out a huge stadium in the United States and then you can prick wave all you want! But that will NEVER HAPPEN! HA!!!!!!!!!!! Apart from Wrestlemania, WWE can't even sell out stadiums in the US. Even when they came here for Clash At The Castle they had to tarp off an entire side of the stadium. It's amazing how many WWE fanatics have been crying about AEW's success this week. Can they not just support wrestling instead of being a Vince arse licker?

I still hope they sell out. Not even a big AEW fan. I have a handful of guys I watch for and if I discover someone else that intrigues me along the way even better. That being said 50k on a presale for a show that has zero confirmed matches announced all while only one part of the world had the ability to buy tickets is insane. That's great news for wrestling so like I said in another post, I hope to see this be the beginning of a new friendly rivalry between WWE/AEW that gives the UK fans, Canadian fans, etc some more LIVE wrestling in their neck of the woods which in turn grows wrestling as a whole. If AEW is massively successful then why wouldn't WWE go back? Since AEW was successful here why wouldn't they host a show in another place that hasn't seen action in years? It makes more money for the product and makes new fans of the product at the same time.

I'm not crying about anything, but, I am laughing at how delusional the AEW neckbeards are thinking this is the greatest win of the entire existent of wrestling. But it's ok. You can count this as a "win", but there will be an asterisk next to it.

We owe this to the man who sold out MSG, the catalyst of professional wrestling, Jay-EW himself Mr. Switchblade. Who, I really hope ends up in a story with Punk come punks return.

Holy crap. Fairly credible estimate from a random guy crunching #s (the math checks out) suggests they've passed 70k sold. That tops my prediction for the very end on day one of general on sale.

I've seen reports it's "well over" 60k with about 6k left to sell. If they sell those then more seats will open. Most likely they've been keeping some sections behind the camera off sale for now. But you just know Tony won't be able to resist getting even more people in. There's so much excitement around this from real wrestling fans and wrestlers themselves. There were a few AEW guys at a convention here in the UK last weekend and they were all talking about how excited they are and it could be the most important wrestling show in a very long time.

Tony is going to have to pony up for some one-time larger than normal sized video screens. Looks like this puppy won't just be half the stadium. He's probably getting an ulcer on top of his glee right now knowing he's going to have to put on pretty much a WrestleMania type event. Plenty of time though! TK will come through. He'll pull marketing talent from the Jaguars and Fulham to help with the production.
