Since the big crowdfund ideas don’t seem to be doing so well, I thought I’d suggest something different. The Evolution of Sting set is a very famous and beloved wrestling item, and I had the basic style Rey Mysterio that Mattel did. But if they were to do this again as elites or ultimates, who would you want?
I’m limiting this to people WWE could feasibly do, so no Sting, Jericho, Jeff Hardy, or anybody else in AEW is on my list. I’ve also limited it to a list of high main event male wrestlers. Without Austin or Brock because they barely changed. A reasonable list of possibilities, basically.

I love this idea... I have the (Basic) Undertaker one, which is pretty awesome.
My main vote would actually go to Mick Foley though, who isn't on your list!? I think a "Faces Of Foley" UE boxset would be great.

Not as a crowdfunded item. They could be a store exclusive. Like the Rey and Undertaker sets they did years ago. Sting is probably the only wrestler I would absolutely pay for one of now. And as I said they already did one for Rey which I bought. And also one for Undertaker as well, but I have all his various looks so I don’t need it. Although it did look cool as a Boxset.
As for others I love Bret and Triple H, but I don’t think their looks changed/evolved that much to warrant an Evolution type set. If they did do them for Bret and Triple H I would buy them, but do they have six unique looks? Meaning they changed their appearance significantly?
Maybe with Triple h they could do it…

Buzz cut
Shaved head
That would be five different distinctive looks for Triple H. Maybe long haired in DX tights could be the sixth?
For Bret I feel his look never really changed significantly. Maybe they could do it with championships? Add the belts with each look?

From the list,HBK,Edge and Rollins but I would love a Balor set with some Demons that hasn't been done yet. Its a lot I would buy honestly but they the top ones, something like this is what I'm more interested in and not rings,stages,cages etc.

This is a cool idea, but the only downside to it would be limiting the future options for Elite/Ultimate lines, meaning for some, we'd have to wait even longer for main line releases.
I do like the idea of multi packs of say 4 or 5 as future crowd funders. Even like a new take on the 'Nitro Notables' set, or something like 'The Ruthless Icons', where they can give us 4 top names, then additional tiers add a figure up to 6 or so.
But for this, i went with Edge, Scott Hall, and Eddie Guerrero. As for the attire's i'd go with (if it's 6 a set):

Similar to what maybe hasbro did with Leonardo when they did every comic snd tv adaptation
So for bret do:
Stampede era Trunks, hart foundation, early singles run, prime (mid era) singles run, hart foundation v2.0 and then wcw
Or do one with all the belts
E.g bret with tag attire and belt, ic attire and belt, Wwe attire snd belt, wcw attire snd belt then a us title and attire
You could do the same for austin, HBK etc

I'd love a Blade Runner Rock so voted for Warrior. Also feels like we are getting an evolution of Hogan & Warrior already...slow and drawn out over many releases lol.
And Guerrero as Black Tiger 2 would be amazing (not likely to happen).

1st choice HBK. I would be hoping it’s like Sting’s and entrance gear is included.
2nd Hogan. I think it would be so awesome having the red and yellow standing next to the black a white. I could slim my MOC Hogans down to one box if this was done right.
3rd Taker. The basic version mattel made wasn’t too exciting for me. If it was figures in elite/ultimate form I’m sure I would have bought it.

Problem you have here is that the outfits are generally already done. How many of those names don't already have various figures out that would have otherwise fit into this 'then and now' package?
What I mean is - I have a Blue Blood, DX, Evolution and bald Triple H already in my collection. There's already Stunning, Ringmaster, Stone Cold and street-clothes Steve Austin figures out there.
People are already giving out that there are way too many Hogan, Rey and Warrior figures doing the rounds.
I like the idea of this, but I don't think they'd be great as crowdfunds. Obscure stuff like Attitude era or Ruthless era mid-carders like Val Venis, Albert, Rosey, Al Snow, etc are the kinda things that would flop on a store shelf, but get people who are serious collectors excited.
