Ah cool that’s interesting I just know from videos I’ve watched they get some. I’m sure there was a major pod video of a long Canada toy hunt where the toys r us employee said something about there no Walmart (or target) in Canada so some go to toys r us and the others go to another retailer. That’s a few years old so could’ve changed since? Yeah Cardona and Myers hit up TRU almost every time they come to Canada and have videos on their channel about their hunts. We had Target here a few years ago but I think it lasted under a year, it was a mess. All of the stores nation-wide closed down and put stuff on clearance. That's when I was able to snag multiple DM Hogan's 50% off at $15 CAD a piece, good times. Walmart is hit or miss. For a long time they weren't getting the US Walmart exclusives, but recently pre-orders went live on Walmart's Canadian website for the Ruthless Aggression Elites which was a shock to many. TRU is the best retail source for WWE figures in Canada hands down, but they don't get every Elite wave and they are almost 1-3 months behind US retail. Too bad those RA pre-orders are delayed for who knows how long right now. TRU is best retail option but that is an extremely low bar unfortunately.

Are the PPV/BAF series much more in the US/Canada - or is it (as usual) just in the UK?

Are the PPV/BAF series much more in the US/Canada - or is it (as usual) just in the UK? $34.99 elites, BAF series fluctuate between $34.99 and $37.99 depending on the set and retailer. They also pop up and vanish at brick and morter and rarely are listed online for long. Also like the UK we don't seem to get full sets often (No Brie Bella to complete Hendrix)

Note: usa exclusives are often sold in Canada toys r us No they're not. They're supposed to carry the Legends line, but that's it. And even then, they barely stock them and skip a vast majority of the series. Walmarts doesn't even stock their exclusives, although some of the latest Ruthless Aggression figures went up on Walmart.ca but sold out immediately. Ultimates have ZERO retail presence here outside of the occasional ones on Amazon. I love Mattel but these issues don't happen with McFarlane or Hasbro exclusives so it can be pretty frustrating. It seems like Mattel distribution outside of the US definitely needs some improvement. If it weren't for Ringside and other online specialty retailers, I wouldn't be able to collect WWE figures. And due to international shipping costs, it's a very expensive hobby lol

I think whoever said the neca way of Mattel creations listing on site had it right.
What’s more they could charge retail or even a couple bucks higher, pocket all the profit and we’d still get the figure for half what we pay a lot of the time.

If it weren't for Ringside and other online specialty retailers, I wouldn't be able to collect WWE figures. And due to international shipping costs, it's a very expensive hobby lol I have to say Walmart is just a very crappy company. Walmart’s here in NY/Northern NJ are no better than yours. One could argue that they are worse seeing they a US based company so our stores should have their product on the shelves. Other than a couple cases of RA Series 1 and the one shipper that had DoD in it I haven’t seen any WalMart exclusives here. And forget about McFarlane’s DC Gold Label Exclusives. The only figures I ever found locally were two Vampire Batman and a lone Hal Jordan Parallax. This is between eight WalMarts in the NY, NJ and PA area that I have searched for figures at because their site said the stores had them in stock. And their online is the worst in the last 3 years I have placed at least 50+ preorders or store pick up orders for WWE exclusives and McFarlane DC Gold label Walmart Exclusives and only one order hasn’t been cancelled. Hell, as it is now I still have a preorder for the Arkham City B&W Batman that has been delayed six times now. That thing is never going to get filled. As for UE besides Amazon at least they show up at our local Targets. UE’s are on the Walmart website occasionally but never in store. But Walmart stores are just as bad here in the states (at least in my area) as the are by you when it comes to stocking any of their exclusives or even non-exclusives. And with the regular WWE Basic and Elite lines they may get a case or two of a series but then you don’t see anything new for months. If a new series of Basics is produce every month and a new wave of Elites are produced every other month shouldn’t stores be restocking at least every other month? My two closest Walmarts seem to stock new waves every four or five months. And certain line aren’t even on my local stores planogram except for the holiday season the rest of the year I have to drive an hour south to NJ or a north to find any newer figures on the pegs of WalMart. Walmart is just a crappy retailer in general and I hate that they get WWE and especially the McFarlane DC exclusives because I know it’s going to require help from friends like Nivro™ and others for me to obtain them. This is a hobby and shouldn’t be as hard as it is to find product at Walmart.

Are the PPV/BAF series much more in the US/Canada - or is it (as usual) just in the UK? I thought they were always more expensive because of the BAF parts? I remember the BOPPV figures in Toys R Us being about £5 more expensive unless there was a multi buy offer on. And that was about ten years ago now, I’m thinking specifically the Ricardo Rodriguez series because I remember going to TRU in torrential weather looking for it. Although nowadays, not all of the figures even have accessories besides the BAF parts.

No wonder they have to reduce them. Ah yes, I remember that Ricardo Rodriguez BAF... I think it was the first ever Mattel/WWE BAF(?). Just think about that 🤭.

Mr Cole was the first BAF. And you're correct, Ricardo was the first one the UK got. I think I ended up putting a Bobby Heenan head on Ricardo's body and painting the bow tie... poor Ricardo. 😄

I refused to buy any of the BAF figures here in Ireland until they were reduced because Smyths wanted 32/33 Euro for them.

English people having a whinge, what a bloody surprise. (Just joking fellas my wife is half English, I’m an Aussie and can’t miss having a crack at you all) You Aussies have it even worse right? Or can you get stuff direct from China? At the moment, the stage is about $650au shipped (a little over I think when I backed it and got the pending charge). So it’s not too bad to be honest. I’ve always found Mattel creations shipping extremely reasonable. I think they’ve “over cooked” the estimated VAT and customs charges for countries outside the US. My advice to Mattel would be to simply charge what they are “required” to, and put a disclaimer up that any exported items MAY be subject to import fees as per your country etc.

Problem is, wrestling figures don't sell as much as they used to. I know a Smyths worker and she say's that WWE figures are one of their worst sellers.
From my point of view the main issue is the price. Parents can't afford to hand out a ton of money for action figures that look like nothing when taken out of the boxes. I don't collect anymore and the price are the main reason. I just cannot justify paying over £20 for an Elite figure or £30 for an Ultimate Edition.
The AEW line flopped and that was a huge reason, a lesser known company with expensive action figures was never going to work.
I also understand why they don't want US exclusives. A few years ago Smyths brought in the Hall of Fame series due to high demand and for almost a year the figures rotted on the shelves at a reduced price. If they can't sell the lines they have they certainly aren't going to bring in more. Sad but it's true.
However, in defence some of the figures Smyth's bring in are questionable. For example getting Knoxville over Mr America was crazy and in the past they have only got 1 tag team member out of a set which is pointless.

Unsure if it has been mentioned, but I’m pretty sure Jonny from Superpowertoys said they would be getting both ultimates and Legends in at retail price this year at some point.
I may have imagined it or have been high though
