On November 18, 2012 the Shield broke down the walls of WWE's main roster and began their reign of terror across RAW and Smackdown respectively. What no one could have predicted though is how much success they would have in the decade that followed. All three members are Triple Crown Champions and Grand Slam Champions as well. Two of them have won the Royal Rumble and two have won MITB. They have 16 World Championship reigns between the three of them only counting the three biggest promotions in the United States being WWE, AEW and ROH. That's not counting the 20+ other mid card and tag title's they've held across those same brands. They're all 36 or 37 years old meaning they easily have another 5-7 years to remain on top. It's amazing to see how far they came and how the landscape of wrestling has changed around them. During their initial run I was a massive Ambrose fan. He was the most confident talker, he had great mannerisms and he could really tear it up in the ring. Sure he wasn't as spectacular in the ring as Rollins but he had more in other categories and both of them were leagues above where Reigns was. Taking away any knowledge of Reigns family tree, I would have guessed he's be the weakest link of the three in the future. Boy how wrong I was. Fast forward to now and Dean is my least favorite Shield member. Nothing to do with AEW or WWE, just think he's grown the least of the three. I'd say Rollins has been the most impressive but I'd be hard pressed not to choose Roman with how his booking and reign have been the last couple years. Everything from his entrance to the way he walks screams MAIN EVENTER. Seth on the other hand unfortunately suffers from the Jericho syndrome of being too good of a ring hand. He is world title material as we've seen on multiple occasions but he's used more to get others over because of how good he can make someone else look. For me it was Ambrose/Moxley and now it's Reigns. So my 3 questions are: Who was your initial favorite to break out of the Shield? Who has impressed you the most and become your favorite since then? (if it differs) Do you think we'll ever see a Shield Reunion in the future like the last picture in this post?

I think it’s def possible, anything is possible, Mox even said he didn’t feel like he was being treated right last summer and thought about walking into Summerslam with the AEW belt cause he was a free agent. So I mean it’s not a closed door on his end. So I think you might see it later down the road, at least for a hall of fame induction right?

I think Moxley will stay in AEW. He's getting treated well there so I don't know why he'd leave and be lunatic fringe again. Now here is something interesting. If shield were to reunite and have a third new member.

Roman leaving with the titles and showing up on AEW or Mox leaves with his and shows up on WWE tv. I think you're 100% right on the HOF induction 15-20 years down the road though. They will probably go in as a team as well as individually.

I feel like the reunions and feuds of The Shield lasted WAY longer than the original run of the group. The original run was just a year and a half, but then they spent the next five years in one-on-one feuds, triple threat feuds, two-man reunions, and full-group reunions. I'd like a reformation at some point, but I think it should be a while, as I wouldn't want to see Mox leave AEW anytime soon. I also don't see Tony "loaning" Mox out to the E for any sort of one-night reunion, and I'm not even sure the E would be willing to use an active AEW guy for anything (though Moxley showing up in the E for one night would definitely be a big draw).

Honestly. I want to say I doubt it really.
Moxley seems content on staying where he is.
But again it's wrestling and there's always room to make more money.

Dude, Moxley and Ambrose are two completely different people though.
Dean Ambrose has been out on the injured list for like 4 years now. Hopefully he returns to the ring soon to help out Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.
Now about Jon Moxley, he looks like Dean, but totally different wrestler.
Just like Kevin Owens and Kevin Steen. Look a like, but totally different people. Kevin Steen is retired and living in Montreal and opened a poutine restaurant.

In just a short 18 month period the WWE gave us more Shield reunions to last a lifetime. They should never appear on TV together again unless it's a HOF situation

WWE overdid the Shield teases and full on reunions. I’m perfectly content with no more Shield for a long while.

I was at Survivor Series when they debuted. It was really cool even tho hardly anyone knew who they were.
I’d love to see a reunion eventually but Mox seems content doing his blading and what not.

I'm not totally sure what the first question is asking.. who my favorite in the group was? Or who I thought would break out as the best guy?
1A. Seth Rollins was always my favorite member during their run. His in-ring ability, his look, I was just drawn to him over Mox and Roman. 1B. Mox was the only one I had previously known about before they debuted, so I figured he would probably be the best when they split. As time went on it also became clear that Roman would be a big deal.
2. Definitely Rollins. Even though I liked him the most, I didn't think he would end up being a guy WWE would push at a top guy. Then he ends up winning MITB, not Dean, and being the first of the group to win the WWE Championship. Definitely I think became a bigger star in the company than Mox was when he left. Roman of course is on another level the last few years.
3. Yes I believe there will be some sort of reunion/moment between the three of them down the road.

It would be goosebumps for me if they reunite. But for that, someone has to sacrifice so that the other two will come to save him. Reigns Rollins Ambrose
and it has always been in that order for me. Even when people were booing him out of the building, Roman had good match after good match. I also like Rollins work too, but his persona is really hit or miss with me, currently, his ring work is great, but the Joker maniacal laughing thing I just hate. Roman on the other hand is easily one of the most consistent performers of the last decade.
Ambrose/Mox on the other hand has always been the weakest of the trio by a mile for me. Even during the days of The Shield, he came across as a bootleg Heath Ledger Joker and his work now, I know he has his fans, but I think it is pretty damn bad, to be honest with you.
I think it is a bit early for a Shield reuninion just yet, but it is certainly something I hope we do get a few years down the road. Hell, with the way the Hall of Fame works, you could argue that as well as each guy being in on their own, The Shield should be in as a faction too.
