I had them in the cart and everything and just couldn't pull the trigger. As a loose collector I just can't justify the $70 for a Piper figure I don't need and a George Steele when I can get an Elite George Steele for like $25 on Ebay I did buy the Funk/Hogan pack though and these Coliseum Collection figures are phenomenal. Especially if you collect MOB. I felt guilty even opening the Hogan and Funk to be honest cause they look so good. Yup same. I want to support the line but 35$ a figure is not quite right. I understand the box is unique and probabky costs more to produce but at this point i would prefer regular single blister packaging to drop the price at least 5$. As other members have said if they cant drop the price than they should announce or better yet include a certificate of authenticity with the registration number showing the amount made. #578 of 1500 for example. Matchbox does this with their boxed collectibles too. Since we dont know how many were made of the previous 2 packs it is hard to estimate how many should be made to get them to move faster. I would be shocked if they made more than 1000 of each. They should only make 500 and move onto the next figure. Faster turnover means the line continues and we get more figures released per year. |

Unfortunately, this thread seems to be proving Steve’s point of needing “anchors” in each set, which would make this line very limited to just a small handful of additional sets. Based on who we currently have available, after Hart Foundation, it’s a Warrior set, Andre set, possibly another Hogan set (yellow trunks), then lost-confidence. More “meat on the bone” in my eyes. |

Got Piper and Steele delivered today and I must say they are really incredible. Bring on the Hart Foundation!!! Nice! There’s been some movement on mine, but still in Pennsylvania and no eta. I can’t wait! Hopefully Hart Foundation really is “early 2024,” like Steve said in the Q&A thread. This line is painfully slow to develop and is my favorite Mattel WWE line. Oh well, at least Big Rubber Guys has orders every other month and seems to be speeding up their process. Definitely my 2 favorite current toy lines, and a surreal cool thing to have 2 excellent LJN homage lines going more than 30 years after that line ended! |

My set came in yesterday and I love both honestly. The deco of the body hair on George The Animal is kind of incredible. This might be the definitive Piper, I just wish the shirt had the red ringer detailing. I know “The LJN didn’t have it” but the LJN didn’t have blue trunks or knee pads either. The LJN Roberts didn’t have snakeskin boots. The LJN Funk’s chaps were green, not tan. They’ve made changes on so many other details that I just don’t get the logic to stick to the LJN shirt.
This is easily my favorite line from Mattel’s WWE offerings. I know the price seems high, but I’ve enjoyed every set so far and each has provided me a version of a guy that will be my main representation of that character.
