If Mattel did two sets a year and Amazon got one midway through the year id be pretty stoked. They don’t have enough talent signed to do that many sets per year. there's no chance it happens, but it would be cool if it was possible. Wishful thinking and whatnot |

Hell Yeah I am! Bigelow was very high on my wishlist. Of course I would have preferred a surprise with him like OMG or Bundy, but I’ll take Bossman. A solid set to me! |

I still hope they increase release frequency, and maybe the Amazon partnership allows for that? Yes, I know there are limited eligible names available for this line, but I’d still rather we get them quickly than not at all, before Mattel gives up on this subline.

I hope we get both - more waves per year. Anyone know what was said? I fear they will be in lesser quantities now moving to Amazon than at MC. I don't think we really have to worry about that - Amazon seems to always have enough stock of their exclusives (although there have been issues along the way). MC has more than enough sales data now to anticipate demand. For example, I don't see them agreeing to move to Amazon if the sets have been averaging/selling 10K and Amazon only wants to order 5K. I would think that Amazon would actually have to order more since Mattel would lose money (unless Mattel wants to eliminate/offset the costs with storing, shipping, and handling the inventory). Right now, Mattel has all of the profit, but would have to sell to Amazon at a lower amount so Amazon can charge us the same $70/$75. |

Amazon likely gets more attention/traffic than Mattel Creations, plus if Amazon has to order so many units in advance, it may revitalize this line, I’m hoping. Any news as to when this order is going up? I’d guess still Spring 2025 unless we hear otherwise, but with Amazon now involved, maybe things are changing? |

This is Mattel's worst big event in a while -- and still can't believe that not *one* new figure has come out of Colosseum yet -- only one kind of noteworthy is George Steele in 2 years.

Do I want new talent like Hercules, One Man Gang and Haku for this line? Or at least returning talent like Demolition, Hillbilly Jim and Bundy? Absolutely! But I’ve embraced this line for what it is. And as an avid LJN guy and MOC collector, I still think it’s a wonderful homage, despite its selection limitations.

Now if it was Outback Jack and Piper, I'd have been far less enthused. |
