Yeah and everyone complained that they have to get Steele in order to get Piper lol. Not everyone! I may the be only one that was excited to get a Steele with my Piper. Now if it was Outback Jack and Piper, I'd have been far less enthused. I was very happy with both. Not two legends I would think to pair together, but then again, neither were Hogan and Funk!

This is Mattel's worst big event in a while -- and still can't believe that not *one* new figure has come out of Colosseum yet -- only one kind of noteworthy is George Steele in 2 years. Couldn’t agree more. It’s quite evident that I’m not the target market for these figures. The legends line is slim pickens nowadays. The most excited I’ve been for a figure this last year was Captain Lou. When I think of the LJN line I don’t think of bam bam or boss man. I’d much prefer Studd, Sheik or Andre but I get they are handcuffed with who they can produce. I was hoping for some new names like Jesse Ventura or at least some returning names like Hillbilly Jim and King Kong Bundy. Ok I’m done whining.

My last Legend line purchase was also Captain Lou, and I’m not looking to get any of the new announced Legends either. Oh well, money saved.

I'm actually fine with this wave but, it's just unfortunate that it's within a period of these guys already getting a few figures released. So it lacks that serious holy $***! must-buy factor.

I feel like a lot of the selections have been that way, with similar looks or at least talent coming in other sets (Legends, elite, Ultimate, etc) around the same time- Jake, Piper, Bret. This seems to be in its own world, in a way.

I am aware that Steve said that black cards would be a thing going forward starting with the Hart Foundation. However, with these seemingly tied to Amazon now, are the black cards still a thing? Was the BBM/BBB packaging shown during SDCC? *for the record I would be certain that they would, but Amazon could look at it as a way to cut cost.

How are Andre, Studd, and/or Sheikh handcuffing Mattel? Each of those wrestlers have had a figure come out in the last year so tells me they are signed by Mattel. After Greg The Hammer, those 3 are the names that I want most from the CC (Hillbilly is top 5 too).

So looks like that will remain the same. I saw the FigHeel summary video, and he said these are now Amazon exclusive (I wasn’t sure if it would be a shared exclusive between Amazon and Mattel Creations). Still haven’t heard anything on the timeline for this set though.

By my count, based on who I’ve seen Mattel figs of these past few years, unless more talent become available and/or they are willing to do managers, the remaining logical sets are: 1-Andre/Studd 2-Warrior/ Honky 3-Beefcake/Valentine 4-Sheik/Volkoff (or yellow Hogan if not available) Beyond them, the “stretch” options, who I’m not sure they’d do, are Davey Boy Smith, Warlord, “King” Harley Race, “Cowboy” Bob Orton, and multiple non-wrestlers.

Harley night not be available anymore either, one of the retro companies either major bendies or big rubber guys just announced him. Id imagine if they make it beyond the 5 sets you listed they're gonna have no choice but to start resigning people. Davey Boy without Dynamite and Warlord without Barbarian would be kind of disappointing even if the figures themselves were good. Truth be told I worry the line is kind of capped at those five or so sets. I just don't see WWE signing barbarian or the killer bees considering the seeming shift in focus to 90s and 2000s legends

they’re going to still be me but also amazon sorry if anyone has already said this I don’t feel like trying to find it if so It seems like they'll be coming exclusively from Amazon starting with the Bam Bam/Bossman set but nobody has said explicitly, that's just me guessing based on the way they presented them

Loving the inclusion of the character backdrops. Brings back those memories of the event center promos.

Those backdrops are cool. I wish they weren’t just for the chases.

The video of the panel also confirmed that the Steamboat/DiBiase set will go up for “preorder” on October 24th. I’m hoping it’s a quick turnaround, like the prior sets!
