I’m leaning towards not backing it. I love the way it looks but I don’t really collect Elites/WCW figures. It would make a great display piece on its own or with some of my Retros…but then I am paying $450 for the stage (minus whatever I can sell the figures for). What the New Gen arena taught us is that people will sell these piece by piece (for a higher price). That would benefit me more. If we get just Steiner and Mysterio, I would likely only be able to sell them for $100 each (if that). In the end, the stage would still cost me $250 or so.
Or I can pay $150-300 for the stage risk-free once it is already in-hand in the US. This is what is preventing me from backing this right now as much as I want to be a team player.

to be honest if there was more perceived interest, i would certainly back it.
when the new gen arena announced the macho man bonus, i jumped because i knew it was gonna reach the goals, and it did and i think we as collectors made out like bandits for that entire deal for what; $250?
despite the size and awesomeness of it-i mean i really do want this stage, but i only wanna back it if we get the bonus figures aswell. we already missed out on the early bird hogan which only kinda sucks but it was still a figure to be added to the bundle deal. im not gonna pay that much for just the stage and a rey mysterio ultimate. i REALLY want the steiner figure.

We need all the help we can get big dog. This thing truly is once in a lifetime and I understand your reasons for being on the fence but worst case scenario if once it arrives you TRULY don’t want or need it I know you could sell it easily cause it may only be limited to 5k… just my opinion of course.

I will definitely back one before the deadline. If there had been a realistic shot of reaching 5k with Hogan, I would’ve placed my order then. I feel better about it now getting Rey and Scott at 5k. Not really in a hurry to back it until the end because there’s still no incentive for me to give them my money right away.

$400 is too much for a stage and 2 figures. It wasn’t really worth that price if we had gotten all 5 figures, but now it’s even less value. I don’t care how many bells and whistles it has or how (excessively) big it is. If it had been the stage AND the WCW ring, I could have seen the value. I’m going to build my own stage (with hookers… and blackjack) and it won’t even cost 1/4th of the price of that.

Didn’t even notice what my backer number was but it was before the Hogan deadline. Anywhere to see it on the websites order history or something?

Much more reliable than a Target or Walmart pre-order, that’s for sure. I may end up placing my order soon. Just don’t have that same sense of urgency as last year. Call me crazy, but I actually kind of like when there’s a limited pre-order window - as long as there’s enough for everyone.

I backed it and I see the value in it. No hesitation from my end when I originally backed it and still feel the same now.

I want an Ultimate Steiner, but I have no interest or room for the stage, though it is a nice collector piece.

I think I'll be backing two, but waiting until the end, so I can save up the money.

This has illustrated something I’ve said which is the problem with it is there’s no singular problem
The size (even reduced) is still an issue for some and also if you can’t display the full thing are you really getting the full value of it?
The overseas costs
People just not interested in stages and or wcw
They’re all very close in terms of numbers

I backed the first day. Never thought it would reach 9,000 or more, but in my mind I was banking on getting at least Hogan, Rey, and DDP. At this point, I will be shocked if it reaches the needed 5K.

I'm really going back & forth here.....
with 19 days to go - we haven't reached half-way yet....
Do we honestly think it's going to get funded?
I'm hoping there will be big surges in the final weeks/days..... I seem to remember that's how the New Gen one went; kind of like a game of chicken - - - as the deadline gets closer - - - people start realizing this thing will NOT be made and there will be ZERO option to get it..... people start pulling the trigger.....
What do we think? Is it hopeless, or just stalling?

I've backed up as soon as it was online. I want this made it need it for my collection. And still see how people keep saying that 5 figs plus a stage isn't $400 value. Really? Like you get 5 figures each can cost approximate $40 since every tooling is new, plus a stage that have never been made before, lights that cost big to build and make authentic plus the stage it self. Everything is new tooling, it's something that will not come out again and has a huge value in a future. Like the new gen, there is only almost 9,000 Diesel and Doink figures made, those are just maybe a 10% of the figures mattel makes for selling regular. So with time they will get a huge value online. Also we would miss on having special figures made that wont be made in a future because this isn't getting backed up. Another, I understand oversees fees can be a hassle to make the purchase, but in my country we pay 11% tax, plus shipping. It costed me almost $500 and we are part of the US, but I still backed it up because i want my fellow collectors to have a piece of history stage for our collections. Hey if you think you can sell the stage and figures separate and get a great value online back it up. You can get almost $100 for each figure and that would cover the whole set if we back it up to the last tier.
