I never knew him & Miz had beef He didn’t respect him, didn’t think he deserved his spot, would take shots at the Miz when he worked for the company etc. Punk was rightly pissed off that Miz main-evented a WM - because, in truth, he shouldn't have been anywhere near it.

Yeah I remember some of that stuff now lol, I’d say at the time I understood his reactions but there was no need to overly take shots at Miz… but I do get Punks frustrations. Nowadays Miz has really proved himself

Pepsi Phil is such a disappointment of a human being. I feel bad for AJ. Nothing to do with this, just every time he pops up I feel reminded of it.
Miz still sucks.
But, I mean I get this is news and that's why he did it, but who cares? Cole was at aew stuff and Britt was at NXT stuff, like whats it really matter.

If Punk has grown up over the last year and made amends, I think that’s a very positive step for him. I’ve got no interest in Punk coming back to the big leagues of WWE, his AEW run was poor and he seemed like he had nothing much to offer even on that B-level, let alone a WrestleMania type stage. Maybe another shot at the big time with a Roman Reigns or something would motivate him to stronger performances, but I’m not convinced. But that aside, he’s a human being and I hope he’s been able to mend some fences or get closure on some of the relationships that were troubling him.

I’m no Miz fan at all but the dude is definitely winning. Biggest overachiever in the history of wrestling.

Hahaa that’s crazy since they were in the company together for so long yet Punk still trashed em... it’s not Miz’s fault anyways but Punk should have at least waited til he left the company to trash talk Miz... at least they cool now.

Roster was very thin in 2011 due to a lot of ruthless agression wrestlers retiring. Miz was a good choice as he had majorly improved and had showbiz connections.

Clever mechanism to utilize as a way to get his name in the headlines in front of the eyeballs of WWE and AEW fans alike heading into his AEW return and the creation of the Collision show (not to mention the Wembley show).

It'd be a little difficult for Pepsi Phil to go back to the McDonald's of wrestling and headline a WrestleMania. Cuz, like McDonald's sells Coke products. I guess he'll have to be a heel.

Punk coming back to finally main event WM against Roman at WM40 would be a bigger story/angle than anything AEW could ever hope to muster up for him. I personally don't care if he retires or comes back to either show as I've never been a Punk mark but he does sell tickets, move merch and get people talking. He's one of the best to ever wrestle and me not being his fan won't take that away from him. Just hope he mellows out and learns to relax while he still has the time to live out his dream. It's a shame anytime we see someone with potential miss out on years of dream matches due to their falling out with a company, piss poor attitude or creative differences. Warrior coulda came back ages before he passed and I was never a fan of his either. Same with Bret Hart to a degree. Sure he wouldn't be out there delivering 5 star classics but he had more in the tank with a safer style/lighter schedule if he didn't spend more than a decade being bitter. Bitter rightfully so but that's the point I'm trying to make with Punk is that he can't let the politics and feelings get in the way of his bag/paycheck. He's still in that physically fit age gap but there's less road ahead of him than there is behind him at this point and he has to know that so that's what I see the amends being made for.
