Surprised the suggestion isn’t just give everything to Ringside.

Surprised the suggestion isn’t just give everything to Ringside. "Hey, I got an idea - how about you give Ringside everything!" Ok, then what, Bob?"Then they sell to everybody!"

PJ When toyrus came back with a handful of stores a few years ago. Did they not have vendors stock everything or almost everything in those stores ? Anyway, unless there are dedicated people stocking the toy department nothing will change. It was just 2 stores that operated with a business model where they rented out floor space to toymakers who were responsible for keeping their shelves stocked. ok so then there is precedent, even if those stores closed. So thats how i think you fix walmart stock issues, to bring it back to the original topic. You need some kind of dedicated humans stocking toy departments, otherwise do not expect anything to get better.

Surprised the suggestion isn’t just give everything to Ringside. Honestly long term that is the future, in 20 years you will be lucky to buy physical toys in stores. Everything toy related will probably be online order only.

I’m over hunting figs in stores.. I’d love for everything to be online as long as it’s a good system that works! Nothing like Walmarts current system!

It really is funny seeing these threads because it demonstrates a fundamental understanding of how these stores work. It's been done to death in this thread alone but if the solution of hiring Mattel stockers to manage the shelves or any of the other proposed solutions were genuinely effective, there would be efforts being made to implement them. The reality is Walmart doesn't need to keep the WWE shelves fully stocked with the newest product because it's not anywhere near the top of their list of priorities. Grown ass adults are in this thread thinking it's the end of the world for Walmart and Mattel because the shelves don't have the most recent Elite wave every other week. It's kind of ridiculous. Nobody is crying end of the world, get over yourself. No one is expecting new stuff every week. It's not hard to ask a company that makes more money than target, to produce as good as them. What's even funnier is when a grown ass adult who buys toys knocks other grown ass adults who want to be able to buy toys.

A precedented business model that worked for two stores is wildly different than something that could be applicable to 5,317 stores (as of 1/31/23).

I worked at Kmart for 4 years in my early 20s, in toys, there was dedicated employees stocking the shelves but if it wasn't on the truck we couldn't stock it. So idk if its Mattel or Walmarts DC but gotta get the figures on site before you can stock them. Also Walmart seems to have 3 times the staff my Super Kmart store had so don't think its staffing thats the problem.

There is a major positive and negative about Top Picks. Having big names available is great for parents and people new to the line but the negative is that many of those people will only buy one figure only of those people in thier lifetime and the numbers are probably shrinking so the production and distribution is probably too high.

That’s not gonna fix much at all, Atleast in my area. In my area, elites sell. It’s all due to Walmarts shitty distribution. My local Walmart hasn’t had an elite on the pegs for a month or two.

Top Picks has given my Walmart way too many of Randy Orton (among others previously).
My Walmart's pegs would move pretty well if they had these on there in any form:
Solo Sikoa Gunther Cody Rhodes L.A. Knight Sami Zayn (updated from the last year)
All these guys have worked for the company a long time. I know it takes a year, yadda yadda, but they should all be here by now.
