Mick Foley Vs Andre the Giant. Had no idea Mick got the work him on the indies until he dropped it a couple of weeks ago on his podcast.
Totally seems like two ships passing in the night. But I guess Andre was still doing some shots through Texas/Memphis/Mid-South right before the WWF took over.
I was sort of under the impression that Andre's US indy days were gone for the most part by 1983 or so. Vince Jr. took really good care of Andre and tried to save his body by letting him make a living off just Northeast shots for McMahon and a few international tours a year.
