Think about it. Summerslam is in the place that started it all, where the business was born by a bodyslam heard around the world, Detroit Michigan. Hulk needs to host Summerslam because who knows when an event of this magnitude will happen again in that sacred city. I told my friends about it and we admit every one of us got goosebumps. Hulk deserves a proper send off and hosting a major event where it all started would honor him well. They could even give him a trophy that night to celebrate what he did in Detroit all those years ago. This has to happen.

I like Hogan and don’t particularly care for his recent controversy but I’m fine without seeing him on air. Even hosting Wrestlemania 37 didn’t seem necessary. In fact, I don’t even see the point of a PPV host.

Is there any benefit to having a guy come out, cut a brain scrambled promo forgetting what town he's in and then disappearing for the rest of the night? It would be more of way to honor Hulk Hogan in the same city where he put sports entertainment on the map all those years ago. They could have some of celebration and give him a trophy of some sort. |

In the 80s and even 90s, Hogan was the man. Anyone that says differently clearly wasn't around to appreciate that era of wrestling.
But Hogan now?? No thanks. He can't cut a promo without it sounding like a cliche Hogan promo from the 80s, and it just doesn't fit now.
I don't need Hulk Hogan hosting a wrestling event. Can Hulk Hogan make an on air appearance and do his flex routine?? Sure. But that's all.

I like Hogan, but there's no need for him to be on TV ever again. He just comes across as a rambling old man these days, because (and this may shock you) he *is* a rambling old man.

I would say MSG was where it all started not Detroit. Rob Van Dam and Nash should host. Both from Michigan and both innovated the business in different ways. Just let them get fried and give them a live mic and see them say less stupid sh** than Terry would. No thanks. RVD wasn’t that impressive on the mic during his draft segments. And Nash would tear his quad getting to the stage. If they need to have a host just have the Miz do them. Or have Triple H host the shows. |
