How about Steamboats comeback WCW run from late 91-94 In that short span he became a 2x tag champ with Rhodes and Douglas respectively,2x TV and 1x US at the tail end there Could say the same thing about Rick Rude in WCW, it was pretty much about the same amount of time.

I would add Lita (6-7 yrs) Trish (6-7 yrs) and mostly Chyna (3 yrs) to the list as well. Easily 3 of the most over and dominant women in WWE history with countless championship reigns and high profile feuds between them. All wrestled for under a decade with WWE. Trish can be counted as 5-6 years if you don't count her original T&A storyline before she was a bona fide singles competitor. Lita would be 5-6 years too if you take the time away that she spent injured. Chyna is a dog in her own right. Only there for 3 years and managed to win the Womens title once and IC title twice. Never been done before and probably will never happen again. She's one of one.

Brian Pillman in WWF
Not decorated in gold but was a major catalyst in what the WWF became in the late 90’s. Pillman’s got a gun and the Hart Foundation being two of his major contributions.

I would say Umaga also had a pretty good run. During his 3 years he was mostly an upper carder, had epic battles with Hardy and was involved in huge rivalries.
For a man his size he was really agile and entertaining to watch.

If we're talking Rock and Austins runs being so short in WWE/WWF, you have to mention Kurt Angle as well. I know he went on to TNA for just as long, but at just over 6 years in WWE, in his first year winning the IC/European and WWF Title, main eventing Summerslam 6 months in, and winning the 6 man Hell in a Cell was just ridiculous. For his entire run in WWE he was practically Main Event and had some of the best matches in that time frame, he has to get shouted out here.

Hell you could count his TNA run as short and impactful too. For 6 years from 2006 to 2012 Perc Angle or Kurt 30 was a monster in the ring and on the mic. There was a little too many crying/beta-male promos with his wife and Jarrett during that feud for my taste but his in ring work was insanity during those years. Every time he wrestled in TNA I thought he was going to go out in a flaming glory. As a matter of fact I'd put his TNA run over his WWE run personally for matches.

Depends how you define short but Demolition. Held the gold more often than not during their run. More impressive when you look at the loaded tag scene at the time.

I’ve gotta go with Brock. To only be on tv for 2 years and have the resume he had in that time is nothing short of insane.
Austin had more impact and was more recognizable albeit having a longer run. 97-2003 but basically missed 2 years during that timeframe due to injuries/not wanting to do the job. I’ll further this and say Austin has got to be one of the top guys that never really put many people over. I can’t blame the man for wanting to be on top but I feel like he gets a pass for his “that doesn’t work for me, brother” tactics.
Sid had relatively short runs in the WWF but remained over at a main event level.
Kurt Angle accomplishing what he did in about 7 years of work is also worthy of listing. He missed a lot of ring time due to injury as well but his impact is forever lasting.
Foley has also got to be in contention. 96-2000 full time and his fingerprints are all over wrestling history.
I’m sure there’s several more but these guys stand out in my mind
