Just sent Mattel an email to cancel my two Rhodes figures. I honestly don’t think it’s acceptable. If I had seen this product with the mustard gold pants instead of the bronze gold colour, I wouldn’t have ordered 1 let alone 2. It is false advertising to say the least. Has anyone successfully cancelled theirs yet?   |

No, they haven't because they're currently selling for $200 each and it would be silly to do such a thing. Worst case, there are dozens of members here that would gladly pay you cost plus shipping for your Codys.

Yeah why on earth would you cancel this after locking the money up for a year when you can sell them for probably 4x what you paid for them

I wouldn't cancel either, but that's mainly because I've bought every ultimate except for the black card Slaughter (but I'm a loose collector so that doesn't matter).
The jacket bothers me more than the wrong color for the tights, but I don't think it is bad enough to cancel for either reason.
As for the market prices, only a handful sold for 200ish. One was at 260 but that was a reviewer who actually had it in hand and swiftly sold it off. A lot more sold in the 100-130 range. Once everyone receives their figures, the prices are going to drop as the market is flooded and people get desperate/undercut other sellers.
It's weird, I thought eBay didn't allow preorders, but I guess they must have changed their policy.

I successfully canceled mine in early April. I mentioned how the final product did not look like the render (which is true since the final product does not have kneepads).
I rather have a guarantee $56 refund than deal with shipping and possible eBay scammers (there are a lot of scammers based on how often I see figure swaps at Target and walmart).

You do you obviously, but it seems odd to try and cancel the figure. For starters, while I'm not a seller, it feels like this figure is going to have high resell value right out of the gate beyond just eBay. Also, and I know I'm going to get crucified for saying this, but we've seen enough examples of bad photography and lighting making figures look worse than they are that I really want to see the figure in wide release and in my own hand before declaring it a total bomb.

Scrolling through YouTube and saw that Pixel Dan was sent one. I don’t care that YouTubers get free stuff cuz it’s cheap advertising but what’s the point of sending this figure out? All it’s gonna do is get people excited for this fig, want to buy it, then discover they’re about a year too late.
