So, I am 38 and i have been collecting wrestling figures since i was 8 years old. I have gone through phases of keeping everything MOC and then phases of letting them breathe. These days i have a hard time deciding what to open and what not to open. I am curious. Do you keep your figures MOC or do you let them breathe? I'd also be curious as to why you choose either option.

I open everything. I do have some LJN, Hasbro, and Jakks MOC, but open all Mattel.

I open most. If it is a figure I really like, I will sometimes buy two to keep one MOC

Ultimates MOC. Everything else loose.
I’ll take them both, I’m hardcore.

Always loose with the exception of Brody and his son. I'm not saying people who do MOC are wrong because, you do you ... but I personally don't get why you'd leave all of your figures MOC unless you plan to sell the collection in 20+ years. Some say they like the look of it MOC, which ok ... I get, but the point of an action figure IMO is to hold it, pose it, display it. For me, a MOC may as well just be an 8x11 photo. But again, you do you. If MOC makes you happy, get ya Card on.

Moc … Not for the reason of reselling, I buy to collect not to resale later on … To me the packaging is part of the figure & it just looks better in it … I don’t worry too much about the space because I don’t have or buy a whole lot of them, matter of fact they’re all in storage at the moment

Open 90% and get some to keep in box because I like the box design or I paid too much and it’s painful to open.

You buy it bc you like it in package ... but it's stored in a container. Not trying to start up anything, mind you. Just curious. Are you in between moves? Why would you buy it then put it away? Perhaps you'll have a larger place one day with a room dedicated to your collection? That could be cool.

I open them, eventually. My Coliseum Collection figures are still MOC, because at this time it seems that it's a line with a finite amount of figures. I'm all in on the CC line, so they'll likely stay MOC until the line finishes. I don't know why I do this, but I do. Random figs like non CC Ultimate Editions and the couple of Elites I have get opened right away. I mean, how could I not open that Mega Powers set?!

I have some MOC, but 99% of the time I let them breathe. I couldn't imagine trying to find room for all of them MOC...or why one would want to keep them in the package. Half the fun is holding it in your hand and posing it on a shelf.

Was doing both. MOC was based on whether the card was damaged or not. Though they started to take up a bit of space and the little fella really wanted to play with them. I like to say the little fella wanted to play with them, but really we both wanted to play.

60/40 MOC to loose
I buy many figures of the same characters I like so I display several MOC with loose in front.
Some guys get their own shelf. Others it’ll be a faction or era
Takes up more space but it’s what I like to do. I probably keep too much on card but it runs in the family as my brother is the reason why I have two carded Hasbro Takers in the collection.

I’m mainly a loose collector, but if I really like how the figure looks in the box, I buy an extra copy and keep it MOC. Keeping all of my figures MOC would take up a lot of room (which I don’t have enough of), plus I like to do figure photography, and I can’t exactly do that if all of them are stuck in the box lol

I will say this: I wasn’t initially planning on opening my CCs at all because of how great they look on the card. Then I found out the CC cards slide right out, and it was like witnessing magic. I’ll likely make wall space to display those gorgeous cards.
