Two of the biggest shows ever... the battle of the Monday night wars!
So who are you guys going with? It’s a hard one for me but overall I’m going with RAW... I might change my answer lol as this is a real tough one.
95-96 Nitro had it for me but 97 is a tie tbh, Austin, Bret, HBK, Taker really was doing their along with Sid, Foley, Vader etc.
98 was RAW easily for me & 99 was even easier... but I still loved Nitro during that era... 2000 & early 01 was also RAW easily.

In 1995 both were poor...
In 1996 Nitro was streets ahead even before the nWo with the tag scene etc.
In 1997 it was 50/50 for next. Austins rise & heel Hart were excellent & vinces change in direction was evident but WCW had plenty going on with the Sting build.
In 1998 it was WWF for me. WCW had heaps of good stuff going on too but Austin vs McMahon was too powerful
In 1999 it was WWF.... WCW lost me by April. The fingerpoke annoyed me no end but what was worse was they just dropped Goldberg chasing them after Souled out. It was f#ckin April before he got his hands on Nash ffs 😵💫
2000 was handily WWF as Russo seemingly lost his effin marbles in WCW. I dropped back in to check out the New Blood stuff but yeah.....NO 🤣🤣
In 2001 I followed WCW via wrestling mags so WWF 👌

97 was def the best year for both shows Yeah I'd agree but funny enough being a huge Austin fan I'd say 2000 is probably 2nd behind it.

I loved both and watched as much as I could. Once Nitro went to three hours, we’d watch it until Raw came on then flip back and forth.
We mostly stayed on Raw since it got so white hot but we kept up with everything. My brother would tape both shows just in case
Overall, Raw wins with me but I will always love Nitro.

I say RAW but I say it as someone who has a sports team they like and naturally dislikes any opposition without seeing what they have to offer so my opinion weighs that of a feather here Eventually I will be making my way to the WCW viewing but first I have to get through my old school deep dives so I can know the beginnings of those same superstars careers.

1995 - tie, I watched both about the same amount. 1996 - I leaned more toward WCW, even before the NWO, but after the NWO I was watching more of Nitro than Raw. 1997 - great year for sure, I mostly watched Nitro but would tune in for the Bret/Austin stuff. As the year went on, Raw was definitely getting better. 1998 - another great year, I would say this was the most mixed year since 1995, WCW was still doing well, and the WWF was good too. 1999 - I leaned more towards WWF but would tune in to WCW for wrestlers I still liked. 2000 - definitely WWF Raw, WCW was starting to get really hard to watch. 2001 - mostly WWF Raw, WCW was pretty unbearable at times.

I was always a WWF loyalist. I’d enjoy wcw and watch their shows, but I was always team WWF.

Always RAW for me, I was more of a WWF guy, but I still liked WCW. I dabbled in the early 90s as it was on regular TV here in the UK and I would watch most episodes of Nitro when that started to air.
WHile the formation of the NWO was great, my apex of WCW was actually around Halloween Havoc 98. The return of the Ultimate Warrior, DDP, Bret Hart was there... kinda, Goldberg was in full swing and after that it just started to go downhill for me. I think a huge reason why I was more WWF was that first of all, that was my introduction to wrestling. However, my group of friends that I had at the time were all WWF and as a group, we all loved WWF, even the New Generation era which was probably my most "social" time of being a wrestling fan. OUtside of the N64 wrestling games, my buddies and I were never hugely into WCW as a group.

I watched Nitro live then and recorded RAW. And I would do the same today.
