I've recently been watching the spring of 1998 and how the nWo split etc etc. Splitting Hall & Nash here was a really strange move.....Hall was going to be off TV for ages afterwards so why the hell did they do that here?
I didn't realise until I listened to last weeks episode of 83 weeks with Eric when they were talking about this...I remember thinking it was strange as hell that there was no Hall for ages after the split(rehab)but weirder still is that they done the split when they knew they would have no Hall...and it was barely referenced on TV either.
Then you have Dusty Rhodes siding with Hall only to be hardly seen again in the aftermath. Def cracks showing in the WCW 98 creative. An act as big as The Outsiders should have had a way better split moment...where it could be followed up on.

Half-assed for sure. And when they did get going on TV it was all about Hall being ''drunk''.WCW for ya...
If done right with correct build, this easily couldve been a Starrcade match

I heard that was a Hogan call because he wanted ab big cool name Yeah when Hall came back he was still wearing red/black to annoy Nash then went White/Black with the " Lone Wolf" stuff on his jacket & shorts. Yeah the story goes Hall was to be with Nash in the Wolfpac alongside Konnan, Buff & Hennig. Hogan cribbed that all the "cool guys" were on team red so the lineup was changed. Bischoff said on the Wolfpac episode of the 83 weeks pod that The Outsiders were split to give the angle a real personal feel. so its all down to what you believe really..LOL

Between their history in the WWF combined with their story as founders of the nWo, Nash versus Hall could have been the main event of several WCW PPVs. One of those little leaks from 1998 that went unnoticed as the ship was slowly beginning to sink.
