Always ship insured. At least you will get your money back, and the peace of mind is well worth the price... Which is very reasonable.

Are you sure the boxes made it to your residence? I've had many boxes say they were delivered, only to get home and nothing was there. I would call the post office and they would send the delivery person back out to find the package, turns out they usually delivered it to the wrong address. Most of the time they are able to retrieve the item(s).

This is why I recommend opening up a mailbox at a UPS store. They’ll accept your packages for you, keep them at the store until you pick them up, it never gets delivered to the wrong address, and nobody steals your packages because you gotta show ID. It’s pretty great.

My postman never delivered my nephews football although the system said delivered + exact time. As I was at home I went out looking for him in the streets. When I have found him we were working this out and went through his route. Turned out to be a mistake as he delivered to the wrong street correct housenumber. So I went there and saw that idiot playing with my nephews football in front of his house, the box with my name on it standing opened next to his door. A few seconds and a „heartwarming“ discussion later, I left with my football.

There was no real discussion but more of a monologue. This idiot wasn’t really worth it. Of course I told him how poor and miserable his behavior was, especially as a father. Had some packages delivered to the wrong house couple times and one of them the lady that runs the B&B type thing behind my house bought them back to me after the people that was staying there that weekend opened them up and kept some of the stuff,some people are just POS these days. I can't believe some people is that brave or just plain stupid to open a package and leave the stuff they didnt want and leave the open package right out in the open.

Update the lady actually stopped by and dropped it off even wrote delivered to wrong address sorry for delay was traveling out of town. So there is still. Good in the world only issue now is I have 2 ftr sets.

I'm glad it worked out for you.
I always try to be available when packages come. I have alerts sent to my phone for all of them so when I get them, I get to the door ASAP. It helps that I don't work though.
I will say that at my one apartment, the UPS guy refused to leave items at my door, he left them in the mail room. On top of the mailboxes. The mailboxes for the entire complex. I complained on several occasions because I had neighbors who watched out for me and would have said something if someone yoinked something off my doorstep but it's really easy to walk out of a mailroom with someone else's electronics order.
