That Andre looks amazing! I didn’t even know I needed him, but the Major Pod guys are right- his black singlet LJN was a haphazard repaint. This looks MUCH better and will do this Legend justice!
Flair’s not for me, but this will be cool for many, I’m sure.
I don’t even have any figs in hand yet, but this is still the line I’m most excited for! Childhood 2.0 here we come!

Absolutely fine with a proper andre, i think flair fits right in too. So many choices but i hope it’s something that can be paired with steamboat!

Just saw the suited Flair design on Twitter. Looks good, but, like Marty, not for me. But a hell of a start for this line none the less.

They also said that Flair would go up for pre-order in August as well. |

But a hell of a start for this line none the less. Marty, Flair and a mystery 3rd guy are coming up in August. Andre is one of the October preorders. I heard Cardona say in their Pod wanting to go to 3 figures per wave (every other month). Looks like they may be doing that, though that also may vary each wave. I just hope the turnaround is relatively timely and we don’t get too backed up with preorders. |

I agree with you on the packaging. I was hoping for something more nostalgic, like the Coliseum Collection. Still loving the figures, but I’m undecided on whether to go MOC or Let ‘Em Breathe! |

It looks too branded and kind of small. Makes good economical sense for shipping purposes, keeping other costs down and so on. But you’re right. It absolutely does not strike the nostalgic nerve when that really could be the secret ingredient.

I said it earlier on this thread, but if they could do cardbacks with the animated looks of Cardona and Myers wrestling in the same style of the old LJNs with Hogan and Studd, along with the animated audience, these would be perfect! Wouldn’t even need to individualize the cardbacks. |

Major Pod won comic con and they didn’t even show up. Completely agreed! The Andre render is fantastic! And since they are going to cross over into NWA figs also, I’m hoping the 3 per wave continues, so the WWF 80’s figs keep coming at a good pace too! I’m telling you, this will become a new/old trending figure type, and other wrestling toy companies will start doing these too once these really take off, including Mattel. So truly Kudos to the Major Pod Team for being the first to do these right and start this new era of wrestling figs! |
