As much as I would have preferred the Black and White boots for Bad News I kinda feel the plain boots fit in with the original LJN line better. Other than the original LJN British Bulldogs, JYD, Beefcake, Strike Force and Ultimate Warrior there really isnt much painted detail on the boots. True. Though I kinda wish LJN at least would have gone with the idea of painted laces shown on some of the LJN prototypes. We didn't even get Jimmy Hart's colored shoes, or the stars on Macho's boots. I think the Bulldogs always stood out to me because of the boots and the writing on their tights. |

Nwo? lol. We can’t do that.  That’s the example I was going to use but didn’t want it to be perceived as argumentative. The Madness shirt has an NWO logo and the artwork might very well create a road block. But doing one with those tights and no shirt would be very possible…but would it be worth it this early on? I like the fact they are mostly sticking to Golden era/JCP talents with the occasional modern guy. They are a long ways away from needing to branch outside of that timeframe. I hope they eventually do but I think it should be done when it makes sense and not just at random. |

Damn, eta on the Major site for Dusty and PoP updated to mid-November. While I appreciate the update, I am SO looking forward to getting my PoP figs, so was hoping they were closer.

I was hoping they were closer as well, looking forward to adding Dusty to my collection … haven’t they been on the water for like 2 weeks now? … then probably about another week to clear customs after that … I thought the “slow boat from China” phrase was just something my grandma used to say but unfortunately it’s a real thing even still in 2024 … these boats don’t sail, they drift |

I'm a bit bummed to see that the Bad News Brown doesn't have the white detailing on the boots (An issue I have with the ZST also) which he wore for most of the WWF run. It's just a simple thing which would make an otherwise untoyetic figure just that little bit more interesting and show some extra attention to detail. I'll still get it, but will have to backer instead of a fronter :/ We do a lot of research. Black boots with white designs are early 1988–mid-1989. Switched to all-black boots and wore mid-1989–mid-1990. So I wouldn’t say “most of the WWF run”. lol. I guess technically it was worn longer but not by much. We wanted to include the sewer rat to be Toyetic and he wore black boots then. Should be a fronter with the rat! But we love your enthusiasm for the line. Thanks! This is the reasoning I figured. When he had the rat he wore this attire so fair play. Still unsure about it being a fronter though 😜 |
