I had no interest in buying LJN style figures. Now seeing the Demos and Savage/Andre I'm pretty sure I'm going to crack. I’m sure it all depends on age. As a wrestling fan who grew up in the 80’s, these are my “love language.” BCA’s, bend-ems, and even retros, I couldn’t care less about. I could see that as reasoning. I started with LJNs and Hasbros were really my wheelhouse. My collecting has pretty stayed only in the modern figure size lanes, but these really look great and bring those LJN fuzzies back. |

While I stopped collecting around 2006, I think it's awesome LJN styles are being produced.
There's always been something about LJNs that stands out to me. As a kid, I first started collecting the Hasbros and really grew up with the Jakks but in the early 90s it was special finding a lone LJN in a store (TRU, drug store) and then trying to complete the collection through flea markets, yard sales and eventually conventions. When I customized, I specifically did LJNs because they were so much bigger and could be more detailed.
I can see Hasbro and Jakks being the most popular all these years later but the 80s seems to be such a cool time period for wrestling.

Maybe it’s just because of the Hasbros… and Mattel Legends… and WWF Magazine cover, but the non-chase look feels much more definitive Demolition to me. |

It just dawned on me that 4 of the 6 guys I have (or will soon to have) on preorder are ones I already have as LJNs: Ax, Savage, Andre, and Slaughter (I know he wasn’t really an LJN, but he basically fit in the line). Not complaining, I am beyond excited to continue my collection, but am hoping to get more WWF 80’s “first time in the lines” in the future, such as more of the “almost LJN’s” lost wave. Keep ‘em coming! Thank you!

Andre (black strap) and Savage are ordered! Yay! I cannot wait to start getting these amazing figures in hand. I bought the new Mattel Legends ring/ classic cage to display these and let ‘em breathe! I know they will tower in the ring, but I think that will add to their “larger than life” look!

I really can’t justify buying both Andre figures…I currently own a black strap Andre LJN but it is just a custom (bought it many years ago off of eBay due to a misunderstanding and just kept it). So on one hand I have that physical representation of Andre in that size/gear. On the other hand, it is a custom. I like the Blue strap Andre but it’s not my favorite era/not as iconic.

I don’t feel like this form factor is supposed to be exact, so this works for me in the cartoon-like representations of the original line. |

Andre and Macho look great! I’d love to get them, but shipping to Canada is $56, so I’d have to order them to the border instead…With fees, it’d be about $185 CAD for both, which I don’t think I can justify right now. It’s hard enough keeping up with just Mattel figures.
