What if they made Michael Hayes? He was certainly colorful. Does he identify in a diverse way (sexual orientation, for example)? I’m referring more to ethnic and gender diversity though. Doesn’t fit my specific collecting criteria, regardless (WWF LJN-era), but I get that he would be a popular choice for many. It was a joke based on some things he has said in the past (most notably something that got him suspended). My office reorganization project continues on. Not sure where I’ll place my Andre BRG. Just realized the packaging might be too big to place in the display case with my Andre collection. Might just need to keep him loose.

At the risk of getting political/controversial, I’m looking forward to getting some diversity in this line. I believe that Barbarian will be the first non-white talent. I don’t blame the company at all for this, I know they are trying to build a line with the most recognizable names first, and that’s, for the most part, the way it was in this era for top talent. Still, looking forward to getting people like Tito Santana, Junkyard Dog, Bad News Brown, Butch Reed, Ricky Steamboat, Mr. Fuji, Kamala, KoKo B Ware, SD Jones, Cyndi Lauper, Wendi Richter, Sensational Sherri, Iron Sheik, Slick, Virgil, Tama and Haku. I recognize some of these have WWE Legends deals, and some simply wouldn’t likely sell well. Still, I’m hopeful for more diversity as the line grows. What if they made Michael Hayes? Some great names on your list there, would love to see them in BRG form. Understanding that they would need to be able to generate sales, at least at this point in the line, and for that reason, they'd probably not be planned any time soon, but I'd love to see Haiti Kid, Little Beaver, Little Tokyo and a Lord Littlebrook from Wrestlemania 2. Being that he was initially planned for a Q1 1987 release, I think Haiti Kid would need to be a must-do somewhere down the line, as well as Killer Khan. Would also love to see a Refrigerator Perry figure.

In the same vein as the sgt slaughter they did, killer Kahn is a great candidate.

Some of these people have Wwe legends deals or have pretty perfect LJN figures. But some of them are on our list to make also!

Though I’m pretty sure there was a legends contract not too long ago, I wonder what the status of Virgil is and if he has any sort of estate? Then again, he didn’t use the bodyguard look outside of WWE too much. I did find a few pics here and there. http://instagram.com/p/C0j3JVtu42N Not to mention Microbrawlers pulled it off:

Received my macho and andre yesterday. Macho is great. I only wish the bandana matched the artwork on the package. Disappointed in andre though. I feel the face doesn't capture his likeness and his skin is too pale. I love this line but andre is the first miss in my opinion

Mine are coming Friday, and I’m really looking forward to this series.

We love Andre but appreciate your purchase and feedback.

Interesting to kind of have this confirmed. VintageFigs1 - To the best of your knowledge given the Legends deals you’ve read, are they always written to last through the agreed upon time period even in the event of someone’s passing?

I will say that Slaughter feels too pale to me too, though him being in what could have been LJN Series 1 makes it more passable to me.

Thats too bad that Virgil has a legends deal as he was one of my top wants.
On that note…. Does anyone have a list or link to one of all Superstars under WWE Legend deals? If so it would be useful so we dont have to keep bugging and hoping for figures that aren't doable by BRG’s.

Just got my BRG Macho and Blue Chase Andre and I like them but I must say Macho is Noticeably less beefy than the original LJN and Andre is pretty pale. This set definitely stands better then demolition though.

No, he doesn’t need to look like Macho. But maybe make him a couple shades lighter than Ax and Smash. I’ll do a full review when I receive mine but it’ll probably be sent out late as I waited a while to order mine. Kind of glad I didn’t get both now.

This set definitely stands better then demolition though. Macho was quite lean in those days, so I’m good with that. I’ll give my detailed thoughts once I get mine in hand as well (tracking says Friday).
