Rest of 2024 is gonna make a lot of people happy I think. Just looking at who has been made by other companies I’m thinking we can expect Road Warriors (LOD), Steiner Bros, Rougeaus Bros and the Rock and Roll Express. Perhaps each wave will be a singles wrestler paired with these teams. The anticipation of new news on this line keeps me up at night…lol It’s already been said that BRG Rock & Roll Express figures are coming this year … they should be the next tag team after the POP

I wanted to take this platform to send Matt, Brian, Kanik, TTD and everyone involved in Big Rubber Guys a personal and genuine Thank You for making this dream line a reality! As I’ve noted on here multiple times, LJNs are my favorite toy line ever, and have an enormous role to play in my life-long love of pro wrestling. Now, I recently started a thread to gauge interest in Mattel getting in on this form factor, to compliment your line with talent you don’t have access to. A majority of respondents stated disinterest, whether never liking or being “done with” this form factor. I know this is a small subset of wrestling figure collectors, but it is also the super-fans who, I’d think, are most likely to be interested in figures like these. So, this response makes it even more clear to me how special Big Rubber Guys truly is. The chance you all are taking in what is clearly a polarizing niche within a niche. I hope this line can keep going for years to come. Regardless though, just getting us the Smash and now Barbarian figures we needed to complete our tag teams from 35 years ago, already makes this line one of the best ever in my eyes. Oh, and creating a Hall of Fame worthy Macho Man? A very tan cherry on top!

It’s been so nice much fun creating this line and getting feedback (good and bad) from fans to make the line better. Great line so far. I would like to echo these remarks and thank you guys as well for putting out these cool figs. Glad to hear you're open to feedback for future improvements. One of only a few issues with the figures I have, and I know I might be in the minority with having an issue with this because I don't think anyone else commented on it here, but are there any plans to add more detail to the eyes (molded shape & variation in color)? And while I'm not particularly a fan of the black highlight/shadow line at the top of the eye either, I do understand why you did it and know that some LJNs had that too. Most everything else is great so far. And Macho I think, after having him in hand, is near perfection.

And my one critique would be regarding skin tone for white wrestlers. Unless their gimmick is being pale, like Sheamus, I am hoping that future white talent can be more in line with the skin tone of Jannetty and Demolition, and less like Andre and Slaughter. Thank you!

That said, I very much welcome the tanned skin tones for people like Macho and Cardona. Not sure who else this would apply to who is available, but it could work really well on more of the 80’s guys too, I’m sure!

Any of these (series 1-6) still possible for a short run re-release or are they all pretty much sold out at this point?

I just saw a 1986 WWF tag team battle royal from MSG on YouTube. All of the top teams of the time were in it, including The Bulldogs, Hart Foundation, Dream Team, Killer Bees, Volkoff/Sheik and The Machines. It came down to The Islanders getting the surprise win over Studd/Bundy. Pretty fun match! And another reminder that Tama is deserving of a Big Rubber Guy!

I don’t want to say there will never be re-releases incase we do in a year or two and someone brings up this post, but as of now…NO RE-RELEASES! We want these figures to hold secondary market value. We want them in demand. We don’t limit them by quantity…only by time. I do feel for those who weren’t aware but we’ve done just about everything possible to promote these when up for pre-order.

Will you ever share the numbers for each figure sold to help gauge a value of the secondary market value and rarity?

As a LJN fanatic, in the interest of trying to help make these better in any way possible I should also mention SCALE. It's been mentioned that they're "all 8 inches", and that it doesn't really matter with scaling because the LJNs were the same way. LJNs were sculpted by different model makers who didn't have the technology we have today so that justification is weak in my opinion. Marty was one of my favorites growing up and his figure came out nice, BUT his figure is huge, especially when standing next to Sarge's figure. He should be one of the smaller guys.

Don’t buy them, my guy… You're missing the point Brody. We want more customers buying these. He said he's happy to receive feedback, good and bad, which is a good business model. Most here were thrilled just to finally have LJN-like figures, myself included. But if things aren't pointed out to them and they're not seeing it, then how will they know? Doesn't mean they have to listen, but if they don't it could result in some customers getting turned off and not continuing to buy them. If they do, then maybe it could improve on and make an already good figure even better. I was the only one on this forum that pointed out that modern Smash's facepaint was all wrong, and they ended up changing it for the better. To me when a figure is good, but it could have easily been even better had they just not missed an easy and obvious layup such as Smash's face paint (almost missed), Janetty's size or the placement of Demolition's center ring for example, it's leaves me wondering who's doing their QA? But that's just me, and BTW tell me, am I wrong about Janettys size?

I had always noticed an inconsistency with scale for the original LJNs as a kid. For example I always felt the Anvil was way too lean, Valentine and Beefcake too bulky and tall to name a few. It never hurt my love of them though.
So I totally get what MESTEVE is saying about the BRG’s. He is not coming off as rude or confrontational with his views at all in my opinion. Many others have voiced their concerns or critiques also Whether it be scale or lack of details in the eyes or skintone etc. You cant please everyone. Just please no peachy pink skintones of original Warrior and Rude is all i ask for! Lol
I personally dont think Jannetty is that far off, I think it is more that Slaughter could be bigger. Just my two cents though.

I agree with your recent posts, that they have welcomed feedback and the comment about size was done constructively. I would also agree that Jannetty could have been smaller and Slaughter bigger. However, since LJNs size varied SO much, the scale doesn’t bother me much. I like that Andre is significantly bigger than the others, and am hopeful that if they do a much smaller talent (little person, female, manager), they would make them smaller. As for Slaughter, I think the issue is that he was based on an unreleased mold that would have been in LJN series 1. So I compare him more to Volkoff, and he scales pretty well to his figure to me.

Ok thanks. How many have been made in total now with color variations? Asking so i can figure out the budget i need to catch up. I do hope you reconsider at one point. I see some selling for around 200$ already. At some point the average consumer is priced out. Keep up the good work! Lovin this line so far

You join late, you have to pay the secondary market prices. 13 figures/repaints are in hand 7 figures/repaints orders are done and are being made currently Dusty and POP are for sale now

Marty should have been a bit shorter. Sgt a bit bigger. But we don’t feel it effects the quality of the figure or look out of place when all together. There comes a time in the development/production process where certain unfortunate decisions need to be made due to cost and/or delaying figures.

What about an Indy God Version of you and Steph DeLander in a wave. This way theres another Matt Cardona but the original holds its value.
Brian in different gear or different pose? I can have him team with Outback Jack to take on the Powers of Pain when they come.
This line is a dream line, it fills in the LJN gaps adds some newer faces to the rosters. Toymakers had the right move going with the WCW and CMLL lines but they were a bit to small.

I know you guys are focusing on a somewhat limited time period but have you discussed signing international stars from the past that would be toyetic? Inoki, Tiger Mask, Jushin Liger, Bruiser Brody, Abdullah The Butcher, Giant Machine? Or maybe El Santo, Mil Mascaras, LA Park, Konnan, Blue Demon/Jr., Dos Caras, etc.?
