I am looking forward to a Ric Flair in ring gear. A Kerry Von Erich would be my #1 pick. A Macho King would rule as well

I get that the longer this line goes, with availability limitations, they were bound to have to change up their “rules.” It won’t be for me when they go outside of the WWF/LJN era, but that’s ok. Money saved! We feel the next line up will please current big rubber guy fans and attract new fans. That’s the goal. Grow the line and keep our fans happy. Can’t please everybody obviously…but we are trying our best. Tentative release plan… June - 4 figs July - will be a (hopefully) in stock SDCC exclusive August - 3 figs October - Possibly NYCC exclusive(s) November - 3 figs I know I’m over-analyzing this projected layout, but does this mean at the end of the year you are spreading the waves a bit from the usual every other month (which would have gotten us October and December, instead of just November)? If what you stated is accurate, along with “getting me” (WWF/LJN era only) for 2 in the next (August) order, then that likely leaves Rock n Roll Express for November (maybe with another modern talent for the 3rd fig?). Not seeking any confirmations, of course. Just thinking “out loud.”

Not gonna lie, after seeing the above pic I find myself a bit disappointed with this series … the Road Warriors look too friendly, especially Animal, they need serious mean scowl face sculpts … Matt Hardy doesn’t look like him, at least to me anyway … and I don’t even know ( or care ) who the fourth dude is because I don’t watch any current day product … I’m also very disappointed that the Rock & Roll Express probably won’t hit preorder until November, when we were told they were coming this year I thought that meant the actual figures were coming out this year & not just a preorder for them … major thumbs down to that!!!

Sorry you’re not digging the figs. We think they look awesome, but if you don’t…totally get it. And we never ever promised R&R in stock in 2004.

All 4 look great to me! Not for me, personally, but nice looking figs. Still a fantastic line and eagerly awaiting my preorders and what is still to come!

I'm an old-school fan so the only two I'll be getting in this series are Road Warriors. I'll get them either way as I'm a big fan of the face-painted guys.
While I can live with Hawk's likeness as is, I do think there's something off. Curious what pic(s) the designer is using as a reference. Is it something with the facepaint, the nose? I can't place it. I do think he's showing too much teeth too.
Animal though, in my opinion, could use a rework in the face. Maybe closed-mouthed? And yes, meaner with a scowl would be good. Not sure how the actual figure will turn out but Animal does look a little goofy in the digital render.
Still cool figs though either way, and I'm loving the shoulder pads.

As they say often on the pod about a lot of figs, “when it comes it comes!” This line looks stable from my vantage point (knock on wood), so hopefully we all continue to get the figures we want in time (wink, wink- Hercules).

I can’t speak on what exact images their designer is using. My belief is that they are using images from this photoshoot which was used for Halloween Havoc 1989 and some posters. That’s as much as I know: Based on these images, I would say Hawk’s nose paint is incorrect and his teeth stick out a bit. I prefer a scowl for Animal but he doesn’t look bad. It’s just a matter of preference. As they are right now, they still fit that LJN cartoon/larger than life style. Matt Hardy looks pretty spot-on to me. Wasn’t even on my radar.

Matter of preference, you're 100% right on that. And these are just digital renders too, so the final product will look a little different. That first pic of Animal looks great and would have been a good one to replicate his pose from. I like how he has one clenched fist with the other hand open, and a slight lean forward. I'm hoping moving forward they start going with some more action poses. Like I said though, either way these are easy purchases for me. If only we could have had these as kids. I always wanted to put the WWF guys against NWA, just like in the fantasy matchups the Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazines used to have. I was a WWF kid so I really need that rihg gear Flair. My Hogan has been waiting a really long time to deliver that leg drop for the win.

I hinted they were coming when I shouldn’t have said anything. NEVER made it seem like they were next. Sorry you felt mislead by that. It’s all good, it’s just a simple case of me getting overzealous because I’ve wanted someone to make decent figures of them for forever it seems … what happened was, I was under the impression they would be up for preorder in time to actually be released before the end of the year because each series seems to average about 4 months between the preorder & the actual release date … but no worries, I know they’ll be worth the wait!!

Matt being overly jacked bothers me more than his face. Hopefully zombie got him inked too and we get a non monkey arms version in 2037. Lod might eventually be enough to twist my arm into getting into this line on some level but ill wait for the next molds that can be repainted a dozen ways between wwf and wcw. Gold or blue varients will be cool.

My Hogan has been waiting a really long time to deliver that leg drop for the win. I wouldve liked some kind of aggressive pose like that for Animal too. But then again, LJN weren't really doing poses where they were leaning forward. Closest to that would be Bundy and Bruno I think.

Exactly. They would also be harder to package and challenging to stand.

I always hated the Bruno fig as a kid for that reason. Keep the feet flat please!

I don't know why, but Bruno was always one of my favorites to play with as a kid, as was Valentine and SD Jones. I guess I liked being able to have them do a good punch. The bent foot of Bruno probably didn't bother me much because I never really displayed my figs. Once I was done with them I threw them in a big bin.
What always baffled me though was how on Ax and Dynamite they added that little lift under one of their feet. I believe they were the only two that had that, but let me know if I'm forgetting someone.

The Crockett wrestlers being in this line creates this insane alternate timeline, worthy of something in a Marvel movie lol. LJN having the Mid Atlantic and WWF licenses would have been incredible for 80's kids. Magnum, Dusty, and the Road Warrior's alone is enough to add quite a few hours of fun lol.
