As a child in the late 80s/early 90s you could not run around outside without randomly finding LJNs lying around. Usually King Kong Bundy, Hogan, or Hillbilly Jim is what I always saw everywhere. Maybe some Pipers. I wish I could just go run around outside now and find a bunch still.

Given your love of LJN and LJN-era then I would expect nothing less from you my friend! You must be like a kid on Christmas at the 2 upcoming legends about to drop. It’s nice to see LJN collectors getting to experience what the Hasbro fans have been getting in recent years! Especially with the start-stops of Jakks, RSC’s attempt with the Young Bucks, and most recently Jazwares. Yes, previous attempts have been a disappointment. The upside to those attempts was that they at least all tried to go the solid figure route (I believe), like the originals, and I wonder if that's partially why they couldn't get to the proper scale, possibly because of cost. The MajorBendies are clearly the closest so far and by far, and perhaps were able to save on factory costs with going with separate parts. On that note though, warning to all so you don't make the same mistake as I did, turns out Andre isn't attached at the waist like I would have thought, but instead at the legs. Doing the normal "leg squeeze" that we all do with loose figs, I heard a pop, and one of his legs separated. I should be able to glue it though. I know I know not a toy, etc., etc.

Sorry to hear about your Andre mesteve! Let us know if that glue holds just in case this ever comes up again. Was it the blue or black strap Andre?
Matt and I are exactly three months apart in age which lines up with our love of Ghostbusters, Ninja Turtles, Star Wars, etc. I started collecting Hasbros during the release of series 1 which went hand-in-hand with my blossoming love for professional wrestling. However, I had no idea that other wrestling figures existed until a mid 90’s issue of WWF Magazine had an article on a comic book/toy store (L&S Comix) that had all these wrestling figures! That was the first time I had knowingly laid eyes upon an LJN figure. My mind was racing as I studied the photos to see who all they had made. I was blown away years later to hear the personal stories shared on the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast. It was my dream to go there when I was a kid so it was nice to have a firsthand account of what it was actually like.
Does anyone remember which issue it WWF Magazine that was offhand? Should be 94/95. I don’t currently have access to my collection so I can’t check at this time. Something else that is a bit wild to see all these years later are all the times they showed LJNs on TV. I rented quite a few tapes back in the good old days but somehow never picked up on those pre-Hasbro figures being shown in the crowd or on various recaps.

I didn’t order those new ones, but that’s definitely how I feel waiting for the reveals and my BRG Hacksaw, which I’m hoping is just around the corner too!

I rented quite a few tapes back in the good old days but somehow never picked up on those pre-Hasbro figures being shown in the crowd or on various recaps. It was my black strap that popped. My blue strap is still safe in the package. I purchased a clear display case from an Arts and Crafts store and currently display Macho and Demolition loose in my office, but since Andre didn't fit in the case I had him out on a file cabinet and because of that I was more inclined to pick him up and squeeze him every now and then. Bloody Flair will join the others loose in the display case as will a few customs if I'm able to find them in my basement. I also ordered an extra bloody Flair to keep in package. I'll probably sell my two Jannetty figs, Sarge, and blue strap Andre as they're not my personal faves, and just pick up the ones I really like moving forward. If the MajorBendies team ever decided to go with more details in the eyes with color, for me, that would make it very, very hard to pass on any of these. Right now, it's just enough reason for me to convince myself to only go with the ones that really stand out to me. I also was born late 70s, and had Star Wars, He-Man, G.I. Joe, M.A.S.K., Transformers, Sectaurs, just to name a few. But the WWF LJN 8inch line was always my all-time favorite, because what kid in the 80s didn't love WWF? Started on Hasbro the first couple years, but by that time I was "growing up", and ended up selling them all to buy my girlfriend a necklace. Big regret of course!

Can't recall if I mentioned this earlier, but when I was at the Squared Circle Convention in Indy earlier this year I asked some of the legends if they had figures coming out. Both KoKo and Brooklyn Brawler mentioned having a BRG in the works so should see them in next few sets. I don't own any but these look incredible and the best take on LJN's since the originals

But I didn’t want to spoil it here in case it got him in some trouble or proved wrong. Still, good to see the Legends excited to have these figs!

Don't think this was discussed yet on this thread. Speaking of Brawler and anyone else with hats created in the future, if they have him with a removable hat, would you prefer that it be shaped on the inside so it forms to his head perfectly like they did with Sarge, or would you rather it just be a normal opening?
If you haven't taken your Sarge out of the package you might not know what I'm talking about. I'd prefer to see it without a molded fit personally.

I don't see a scenario where I would need to put a baseball cap on King Kong Bundy, so I'd say molded to fit that particular wrestler's head is the way to go.

Koko will probably look amazing in the BRG style. Thatd be cool if he's in WM4 attire to match with the Bulldogs.

Anyone here attending the Major Bendies panel at SDCC? News updates would be greatly appreciated! http://instagram.com/p/C95OSWZP02K Flair looks good especially with a big bf old belt. Race is a good choice and would be even better with 10 pounds of gold. Macho looks great. Danhausen isn’t in his most iconic look. Maybe that’s what he is wrestling in now? Brooklyn Brawler looks off. It isn’t just the shirt…like he seems as though he needs to be fatter or shaped differently. Hard to place my finger on exactly what feels not right to me which sounds like a vague criticism but I wondering if anyone else notices something that is amiss.

Macho, Brawler, Koko, Bad News, Earl and Arn are all must-have for me.
