Marcus Bagwell and Scott Riggs
Formed in Aug 1995 split in Nov 96
Started with a decent push and won tag titles but after that they fell down th card hard after losing the belt to Harlem Heat
What happened? Were they not over? I recall them being pretty popular. They even started missing ppvs

All I know is my Mom & Aunt loved them Ha! but Bagwell & Scorpio is my favorite team he was in.

I liked them, godawful theme and all, but they really werent going to be anything more than transitional tag team champions turned JTTS. Tommy Dreamer was considered for Marcus Bagwell's partner on the team before they got Scott Studd, a preliminary wrestler, and changed his name to Scotty Riggs.

I never liked Marcus Alexander Bagwell in any team he was in.
I love Buff Bagwell..Vicious and Delicious was my fav but like him with Scott Steiner too
Buff is my #1 most wanted action figure but I’ve always known it’s unrealistic

Not sure if anyone knows this, but Scotty Riggs wasn't the first pick for this team....
The original idea for the American Males was supposed to be Marcus Bagwell and Tommy Dreamer
Bagwell and Riggs wore the same type of outfit Dreamer wore in the early 90s, and from what I remember hearing (and from what Cactus Jack says in his promos in ECW) that Dreamer was supposed to be the partner of Bagwell and wearing the suspenders and pants again doing the heart throb gimmick.

Yeah I heard the Dreamer story!! Basically Sullivan etc seen how over HBK was as a face in the Summer of 95 & decided to try it out themselves.
In fairness? It wasn't a bad idea in principle
