I wish they'd bring back belt packs in the worst way.
I get why they don't. It's much more 'logical' to make people buy a whole figure just for the belt.
But it's also pretty scuzzy to do so and at this point if they released one of those belt packs with five sought after titles, they could charge a boatload for one of them and people would still buy them as opposed to buying five figures on secondary just for the belts.

I wouldn't mind some premium die cast belts exclusive to either Ringside or Mattel Creations tbh

smackdown but yes, it’s a new mold instead of them using the wwe championship mold Yes. The gimmick of E100 was that they were all new belts. Spinner that spins Brahma Bull NWA TV Resized Womens Andre Belt WCW Cruiser I'm going to need comparison pics, please and thank you!! Sorry for the delay (And sorry for the messy desk). Hope these help. Side by side. Old belt on Becky New belt on Becky Both belts held by Becky. As you can see, there is a very noticeable difference. However, I will say my E100 belt is a pita to try and put on a figure because the nubs on the 'pegs' are too big to go through the holes right. Took me over 5 minutes just to get it on her to take that photo and I had to remove her arms and coat just to do it. Anyway. Yeah. Hope this helps.

I give up with belts. I notice Elite 103 has sideplates specific to the wrestler. In a way, it's cool, but Mattel really needs to just include a belt with everyone or release belt packs now. They're scummy, though, so I doubt it. The specific to wrestler belts seem more suited to Ultimates. 103 Liv Morgan basically should be an Ultimate given what she comes with. Throw in some extra heads. Maybe she was planned out but female Ultimates haven't sold all that well?

Ronda and Alexa both went to clearance at Target but honestly so do most of the male figures, so not sure how this line stays alive but it does.

I think the secret of the toy aisle is that it's very largely a loss leader to keep people visiting stores and in stores for longer, especially with kids in tow, than anything really profitable. Except for one or two seasonal events out of the year, it's mostly just glittery and attractive, something to occupy and placate your kids while you're there, but Wal-Mart probably makes more on just eggs over the course of a year than the entire toy department. Like, as toy demographics keep trending older, the big box stores keep incorporating more collector-oriented offerings, because that gets collectors into the physical stores and they'll probably buy some groceries while they're there. It's wild to think about, but also not as new as it feels (I'm reminded of how every store in the mid-90s had Star Wars exclusives when POTF2 was hot, even Service Merchandise). We talk about pegwarming like it matters, but for a line this size, pumping out this many new offerings a year? It's almost as ridiculous as the people who think that the occasional package swap is going to hurt Marvel Legends or something.
