Got one from Amazon yesterday. I’m guessing any stock they’ll have are later runs with the black strap.

Dumb question - was there a color variation on the belt strap? Yes. First run was blue and are supposed to be less common, second run are black |

Sooo... did Andre actually ever have the belt with a blue strap? (if not, why on earth did Mattel make it blue?! I presumed it must have been blue at some point...?)

Sooo... did Andre actually ever have the belt with a blue strap? (if not, why on earth did Mattel make it blue?! I presumed it must have been blue at some point...?) No. When it was revealed on Piper’s Pit and displayed on Prime Time Wrestling it was black. There was a white strap version that showed up in some scenes and promotional material of No Holds Barred. I am assuming that it was initially gonna be the belt for that movie until they switched it to the white strap winged eagle. |

Seems like they’ll be a good bet, but you’ll want to wait for the Amazon restock. Wait for the retail stock specifically from Amazon, don’t buy it from a third party at the inflated price it’s currently listed at. |
