When people say "It doesn't look that bad in person.", that's a problem. If it doesn't look as bad in person, they'll continue to make bad figures such as this one on the off chance that it "won't look as bad in person".
What's comical is the problem was never addressed. We were just provided pics of Cody at the event under different lighting and that was the justification. And what's even worse, none of the "evidence" provided looked remotely like the finished product.
Would it have been better to push the figure back a couple of months to fix the issue they had a full year to make sure was correct so their first made to order ultimate didn't go over the way it is? Idk I don't make those decisions.
It was such an easy slam dunk of a figure that once again is turned to junk because of reasons.
You can justify the colors all you want. It's still wrong.

The frustrating part is that we know they can do gold lol. I mean ffs, they've made Goldust and Rey Mysterio figures with gold tights before. Looking back at the render they showed, even that has the wrong colour of gold compared to what he actually wore as the render had more of a peach gold. I would have been fine with the same gold used on Elite 47 B Goldust, even if it's not 100% accurate. At least it's gold rather than the more yellowish gold we got on the final product |
