A few days ago in one of the threads someone mentioned (and posted a pic) of a Cody where someone fixed the way the coat fitted. But now I can’t find the post. Does anyone know/remember what thread that was posted in? Because I didn’t see it in this one or the RSC having Cody threads. Thanks 🥺🥺🥺 it’s beautiful

I can’t believe Mattel put that jacket out.. this pic really shows off how terrible it really looks.

They had to take it in from the sides of the coat where the seams are. That looks like it’s to much work especially for someone who hasn’t sewn anything other than a button on a shirt since 7th grade sewing class in 1980. lol

I have a FedEx tracking number that's currently showing Out for Delivery, but MC's site still shows my order as unfulfilled so I'll guess it'll be a surprise.

I think the final product is more baggy than the first time we saw the coat, but I could be wrong on that. I did a bit of investigating to see if I feel comfortable trying to mess with mine but I don’t sew nor know how to sew so I’ve gotta see if my wife is up to the challenge. She pretty much does all of my figure painting and molding these days as she’s more talented and much more patient than I. She took a Diamond Select Infinity War Thor and molded the dreads and beard and painted it all up to be a skinny version of End Game Thor and it looks incredible. Ever since then, she does the molding and painting lol

Update: It arrived... at our old apartment (I guess I had never changed my address on MC). That's fine though, my mom had taken it over after we moved out and I can grab it from her later. Also, the actual MC website still shows my order as unfulfilled.

That’s what I was thinking.. seems like every time we see cloth coats and jackets on a sample, the final product ends up being a lot bigger than what we saw the first time

It's crazy how much better the prototype jacket looks. I feel so bamboozled

That’s what I was thinking.. seems like every time we see cloth coats and jackets on a sample, the final product ends up being a lot bigger than what we saw the first time It was clearly more tapered at the waist. And looking at the gold trim on the proto jacket it wasn’t angled down in was more straight up upwards. So it’s the lower waist that was sewn differently. It should have been like this

One of my litany of issues of cloth goods at this scale (I know I'm a broken record with them) is that photos are always going to look better, because even if they're trying to match what a factory can do, a single purpose-made piece is always going to look better than mass production.

Called up Mattel creations and they actually shipped out my order on July 21st but I didn’t get shipping notification. They emailed me with the tracking number and it’s in Jonestown PA. I’m up in Canada so I expect wait another week or so. To anyone still limbo give them a call.

They ended up cancelling and refunding mine entirely. That says they are reshipping one to you and refunding you because the original shipment was lost. Unless I missed something It doesn’t say they canceled it.

Lesson learned about jumping to conclusions. Got the refund e-mail before the response and guess I didn't full read the explanation e-mail assuming the refund was because they were out of stock for the re-shipment. Feel a bit better about things now.
