What’s the deal with Captain Lou’s shirt? I guess they don’t have copyright for the vintage shirt? When Vince took over the company back in 1983, they really didn't have a lot of merchandise going. A lot of wrestlers made their own t-shirts at the time. It's possible that someone other than the WWF made the original t-shirt that he wore and that's why they can't make the exact shirt. It looks like the same thing with the Panther t-shirt for Piper. But they sold it in the merch catalog and in WWF magazine plus it was on his LJN fig so clearly they had the rights to that image at one time.   |

My head just about exploded when I saw that Capt. Lou. Been waiting ages for an elite and they do this for whatever reason. Mattel sure likes frustrating its customer base. Could be because these might be easier to design and faster to produce than Elites or Ultimates. I imagine he will get an elite eventually, maybe an Ultimate if they put him in the Coliseum Collection line. Might see renders at SDCC. I'm not doubting that, but it's still goofy. That would be fine if it was a newer superstar that was gaining popularity or something. But Lou has been around before wrestling figures themselves. I'm sure we'll see one eventually but for his first appearance in the Mattel line to be in a secondary line is rather frustrating. Its also even more annoying because the Superstars line at retail has been a mess distribution wise. |

I could be wrong, but my impression was there haven't been figures that hard to find in a long time...
These won't be sold in Canada, so my only options are someone here or paying scalper prices on ebay |

It’s not like if this figure wasn’t coming out, Capt Lou would be getting an elite any sooner. I know in the UE figures are better, in general, but both RVD and that Brock are perfect cases of "I don't need this because I have the Elite", for me at least.
Still trying to decide what I want to do about the Usos.

This attire is from One Night Stand. He wasn’t presented the ECW title until the Tuesday after ONS. I would’ve liked it included, but the ultimate is historically accurate to ONS. it’s not like Mattel hasn’t done things that aren’t historically accurate before That's very true about that night but it was EXTREMELY short time after he was given the ECW belt. And I am looking at the Kane Ultimate and noticing a big time gap in him wearing the cape, not even on TV ever, and winning the WWF Championship that he comes with. And many more example inside just elite. Feels a bit like a shortcut to exclude it rather than being faithful to a time or night. I'm mostly pointing it out because there have not been many chances to get a Mattel version of it so I'm looking for an excuse. |

Was hoping to see UE 18 MOC images. They were initially supposed to be in stock mid to late June. Maybe it will be one of those sets that we see MOC images only when they are finally in stock?
