I'm just curious if they ever have other than the PPV sets, for me I'd like if we could get dates on the back of basics/elites just so I know what event it was from

Yes, there was one year of elite style boxes (blueish color) that included the attire date on the back of the box. It was the packaging style that Bluetista originally came in. For example, that Batista specifically said the PPV, which was Payback. Others, like JYD, just had a year.

For some, i think they just reference the PPV in the bio.
A recent one at least - "A Polka-Dotted 'Prince of Dark Matter' paid tribute to Dusty Rhodes in the Seven-Man Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match at WrestleMania 32"
