Two of the best tag teams ever... real iconic teams right here!!
It’s a tough one but I’m picking LOD/Road Warriors....they had an amazing run and I even liked seeing em in 97 ... I always played em in SmackDown Here Comes The Pain... they were just something else in their prime.
I loved Demolition too as they also had an amazing run & many great moments... both teams had an amazing look too!!
Big respect to both teams... who you guys going with?

Now this is s tough one. I didn't see Hawk & Animal until 1990 & their WWF debut. I only read about them in the Apter mags.
Demolition had everything for me as a kid....music, they kicked ass & Jesus they were crazy over. I still LOVE Ax & Smash to this day.
But The Road Warriors were first....their NWA stuff vs Midnight's, Russians, 4H, Skyscrapers etc was fierce. Enjoyed their WWF runs too.
Road Warriors edge it because of their lifespan, accomplishments but its like a 52% :48% split.

LOD was cooler imo but Demolition had the better matches.
Think I'll go LOD

Like everybody else, this is a tough one. Very close for me. I'm going to go with LOD on this one, but by a slim margin. Demolition were better in the WWF, but LOD/Road Warriors were bigger overall. It would have been funny if Ax and Smash went to WCW after their run in the WWF.

This wasn’t tough for me at all. LOD all day every day. Demolition was good but I liked Ax better as the Masked Superstar. But Smash was probably my favorite of Darsow’s characters.

This is a tough one.
If you are going primarily based on their WWF tenures, I think Demolition gets the edge for sure. They had the look and were over like a million bucks during one of the biggest boom periods in company history. They may had been considered "ripoffs" early on to an extent because of the similarities, but that label did not last as they quickly became their own unique entity.
The Road Warriors definitely did not have a bad run in the WWF, but I just don't think it ever lived up to what it could have been and believe timing was the main culprit. Had they joined maybe 2-3 years earlier it would have been a totally different story as that was when the tag team scene was at its absolute peak. The amount of dream matches from that era is crazy to even think about. However, the star power in that division had definitely thinned by the time Animal & Hawk actually came onboard in mid 1990. Them winning the tag belts at SummerSlam '91 in MSG is an incredible signature moment. I just don't think they did much of significance either before or afterwards during that first stint with the company.
Also, I don't care what reasons have been given, there is no excuse for not having a big Legion of Doom/Demolition clash on PPV. That was the match everybody wanted to see for years and it never happened on the big stage which seems like such a missed opportunity.

I am not really familiar with LOD other than their time in the WWF. For that reason, I have to pick Demolition here.

Pre-WWF LOD. But once they introduced that f*cking ventriloquist doll, I couldn't look at them the same.

If the Road Warriors had accepted Vinces 2nd offer in 88? Man that would have been a game changer.
But they didn't & Vince got the POP to fill that role who flopped as babyfaces & Demolition were turned instead.
They became the joint 2nd most over act in the 89/90 period alongside Warrior which speaks volumes.
But if Hawk & Animal were brought in then to face the unstoppable heel Demolition? Man oh man...

Absolutely. Those couple of years would have made a huge difference regarding the impact they could have made. Not only was the WWF just hotter back then, but again the tag team scene was absolutely stacked and probably remains the peak era for that division in terms of star power. Imagine adding the Road Warriors to this list... Demolition The Rockers Hart Foundation British Bulldogs Strike Force (Tito Santana & Rick Martel) Killer Bees Conquistadors Brain Busters (Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard) The Bushwhackers Powers of Pain The Rougeau Brothers Young Stallions (Jim Powers & Paul Roma) The Islanders (Haku & Tama) The Bolsheviks (Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zhukov) Unfortunately, by the time they joined the company business had cooled down significantly and a good amount of the prime teams from the late 80s were either no longer around or being phased out.

Yes the division was substantially weaker in terms of credible heel squads in 1990
Road Warriors 1st feud should have been POP leading up to their breakup.

They are probably the biggest example of a great team whose WWF tenure would have benefitted greatly had they come aboard a few years earlier. Steiners versus Hart Foundation? Sign me up!

Steiners had nobody to wrestle but thats 100% on Vince. He lost interest in the division completely.
