Whatever I want - usually whichever attires I like of Warrior, Savage, Bret, Hogan, Undertaker, etc. Very selective as I don’t display figures and don’t care to pile them in boxes anymore.

Responding to stuff and announcing new figures drops is a bad thing on here now ? where did I say it was a bad thing. Settle down I'm not upset. I was just curious it looks like I'm the only one who collects and displays them like territory days. But I also still stage them when I have free down time at my job.

Not just moc or loose ? All or just certain guys But does anyone collect them like they are in the territory days ? 1 wrestler only but styles are different let me explain. So if they have an ultimate then they stay on the ultimate shelf. If only an elite upgrade style or elite + I call it. If they have a jakks DELUXE and ruthless I keep only the DELUXE version. And if they get a mattel I upgrade them but drop the lesser version on mercari. I will have guys like Orton be the top guy in his territory then once his ultimate comes he drops the belt and leaves suddenly to the ultimate territory? I prefer having one of every "look/era", so take your Orton example. Lined on a shelf I have: his debut look, Evolution era, Legend Killer era, non-stop main event scene era, Legacy era, 2nd non-stop main event era, mustachioed era/newest look

Entirely from the era I’m nostalgic for, which is about 1987-1994, but occasionally going a little earlier or later if it’s a wrestler I like. Not just one look per wrestler, if they’re from that era, I get them all.
All boxes are immediately trashed, unless it’s something I’m getting signed or something exceptionally cool like the No Holds Barred set. I’ve been collecting way too long to have the space to go MOC.
I have a bit of a photography background, so I do use them for that. If it’s not one of my favorites, they’re in acid-free ziploc bags with all of their accessories, in clear boxes separated by era/promotion (i.e. WWF New Generation, post-Hogan-debut WCW, etc.).

MOC elites, UE, AEW. I just get what I like/want. Handful of wrestlers I get all their elites/UEs, which I’m not up to date on right now.
Rollins, Bálor, Styles I have all theirs minus Styles Legends and Rollins UE. Orton and Edge I have all of theirs since I started collecting, but decided it’s not worth it to go back and buy all their earlier releases. Will be getting all Cody now, minus the AEW chases (do have the suited chase though).

Don't really follow any rules,I just buy what I like. 95% of my collection is MOC,I buy Mattel Elites, Ultimate and AEW. Guys/girls I'm really into I try to stay complete on(Balor, Cody, Sting, Rollins, AJ,Omega,HHH, HBK, Riddle,Edge,Darby,Hangman etc, etc). If its a figure I really like, ill buy a extra or two for my loose collection or to get signed later.
I've had to cut back lately for the reason I just collect way to much other stuff too(Funko, TMNT, Marvel Legends/stuff, Legos,a little DC and Star Wars, Brawlers, still have a bunch of Walking Dead and some vintage stuff). Dont know why but I'm loving the special Theater Popcorn Buckets lately too.

I'm more of a loose collector. I don't mind mixing my elites with ultimates or Mattel with Jazwares, Storm, Powertown or Super 7. I try to theme each shelf to a specific era, company, or style (Hasbros separate from modern separate from LJN). I also just cherry pick my favorites these days because there's just so much that comes out that I wouldn't be able to contain it all into one room and I don't want action figures to overtake my whole apartment. So all of my stuff is confinded to a room. Action figures on one side. Retro games on the other. The closet is where I keep the boxes for my loose deluxe style figures like Ultimates, just because its easier to keep the accessories there for now.
I have a decent amount of MOC figures but I'm trying my best to not make a habit out of it. Those are for if that particular talent is available for a signing or for sentimental reasons.
The hardest part though is I can't just have 1 Macho Man. Or 1 Bret. Hell, I have like a dozen Hogans and I'm not even that big of a Hogan fan. Some people its easy to do the 1 figure per guy rule like Andre, Austin or JYD. But then you have guys like Michaels who had like 30 great attires and next thing you know he dominates a shelf.

Loose. Either people I'm a fan of or parts for customs.
I have 3 figures MOC. DM Bret, Retrofest Flair and a random E2 Batista I found very cheap I just didn't get around to opening.

Should preface all of this by saying I'm a sicko who would buy everything if I had the means and space to do that. Being that I don't, I had to establish rules for myself on specifically who and what I "need," so that I don't end up buying everything I can get my hands on. My loose elite collections are mostly in the planning stages as I only started this year.
Loose Elites and Ultimates broken into sub-collections. I decided on who I felt were the 35 most essential people from each era, 50 in the case of one - WWF Golden Era [essentially started w WM1] (1985-1992) - WWF New Gen (1993-1997) - Monday Night Wars (50 people from WWF Attitude Era [98-01] and WCW Monday Nitro era [95-01]) - WWE Ruthless Aggression (2002-2007) - PG Era (2008-2014) - 2015-2021 - Starting a new collection from 2022- for the Triple H era - My own personal figure HOF (really just an excuse to get one more of really classic people or anyone like Dusty or Harley Race who doesn't perfectly fit in one era)
Loose Defining Moments collection starting with this most recent RSC era and buying updated versions of old DMs (UE15 Warrior, UE18 Macho Man etc.)
Complete (up to date) collection of Retro & Superstars figures loose
MOC Elite/Ultimate Macho Man collection

I've had to really cut back & be more selective, since my financial situation changed a couple years ago; Also, my collection is beginning to take up entirely too much space. So lately I've been a lot pickier about what I buy;
I open most items these days because I enjoy doing figure photography; Plus, the open figures can be stored in plastic case-like boxes that I got from the craft stores (I'm at work currently but I'll try to post a pic of the storage boxes later). The plastic boxes are clear so I can see what's inside them and stacked for space convenience.
If there is a chance I might want to get something signed, I might keep it MOC. I have a pretty nice collection of signed figures.... often this means if the wrestler has passed away, I'm going to open the figure. Exceptions are if the boxing/package is really cool, or unique. In the rare instances where I want to keep something Boxed AND do figure photos - I might buy two, but that's really rare due to my financial situation.
Display-wise, my collection room is a bit of a mess at the moment. I need to re-do it. Maybe this weekend. A lot of stuff is stored in bins. The few shelves I do have are a nice mixture/evolution of figures from various lines.

Mattels: I buy pretty much all elite/ultimate versions of legends up to around 2004 ish. I display by sections: 80s, early 90s, new gen, attitude era, all loose. I also get some figs signed MOC. Stopped doing modern WWE figs cause I don't really watch these days.
AEW: At least one of every guy/girl loose on display, and I basically buy any one that I think looks cool lol. Also some MOC autographed.
I also collect any Japan stuff that comes out + Powertown. And am slowly picking away at classic superstars that I'm missing.

Pre 2012.
Unless it's someone who came back, like edge for example.
Mainly loose, and get dupes of some guys to have moc and loose. I'll get triples, but that's only HBK.
Mocs aren't displayed due to space issues.
I don't collect aew figures because I don't know most of them and I don't like the way they look. I might buy someone for my son though. I did get Owen hart and converted to ultimate edition twice. I got Cody supreme because it looks good with coat on. But that's all on that.

99% legends only, unless it's someone I have little interest in (Mae, Blassie, Graham, Rocky Johnson) Ultimates and Elites all get opened and most go into the detolfs. If A legend has multiple looks, I'll get all of them.

Ok, so, I have Pattern-Based OCD, so there's themes to mine that can be easily added to/modified.
Collection 1 - At least 1 of every womens wrestler they've made figures of, loose. That's the goal anyway. I've managed to get almost all of them but there's a few, like Ashley Massaro and Gail Kim, which I just can't seem to find for less than a small fortune. Also, some figures, such as Jacqueline and Marlena, are in the process of being made due to the original figures just not holding up in my eyes. I also hope to customize a bunch of the women who never got figures. It's slow going, but it's coming along.
Collection 2 - Every Unique Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens figure made, loose. This one is mostly completed. I have a bunch of Kevin's left to get as fills and I have two Sami's that I need to get. But comparatively speaking, this shelf is up to date, with two custom KOs and a custom Steen and Generico to boot.
Collection 3 - One of every FTIL AEW Womens figure, MOC. This is on my bedroom wall and is complete minus Jamie Hayter. I don't do chases or people who already had a figure here, but I do also have the Supreme and Blood and Guts Britt Baker's also MOC on my shelf. B&G Thunder Rosa will be coming eventually.
Collection 4 - One of each "Matched Set" of Sami and Kevin figures, MOC. This is on my other bedroom wall. There is a theme for these, albeit they aren't strictly all matched sets. The first set is the NXT Champion Sami and Kevin, then Yep Movement Sami and Kevin, then Elite 91 Sami and Kevin, then Wrestlemania 38 Sami and Kevin. I just bought the last fill for this today, Elite 63 Sami, and then he will be going on my wall to match the rest.
Collection 5 - My McMahon Family shelf, loose. It's an entire rack dedicated to Shane, Stephanie, and Triple H figures with one custom Linda and one custom Marissa in front. Vince... he's on vacation. There are also a bunch of custom Shanes and Stephanies on this shelf as well. Some of my best work is on here.
Collection 6 (my pride and joy) - The Extended Bloodline Shelf, loose. It's a shelf in my living room dedicated to every member of the Anoa'i family (and other connected branches) they've made figures of. There's still a bunch of fills I need for this shelf, next on my list is Yokozuna, but I've put a bunch of custom work into this shelf to try and get them all to match in some way. When I finish, I hope to have the full Anoa'i/Fatu line, the full Maivia line, and Tamina and Sim Snuka. Jimmy... he's also on vacation. Oh, and Sami and Heyman are also there, off to the sides.
The rest of the collection is loose men with vague theming of tag teams/stables, AEW together on one rack with the Jakks figures (they match scale better), Ultimates in the front row, and all of the various Faces of Foley in one place. Outside of that, I have a shelf of Doctor Who figures and another shelf of Marvel Legends (Specifically MCU-Multiverse figures). I also have a rack of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel: The Series figures, next to my McMahon Shelf. Finally, there is a special shelf dedicated to video game figures, as well as my two lonely NECAs (Marty and Doc) and my two WWE Entrance Greats figures (Elias and Bobby Roode).
Outside of that, just a few odd figures here and there like my Xena: Warrior Princess figures and my playmates April O'Neil figures. I do have a whole slew of playmates Star Trek figures to find a home for, but I need to build another shelf first.
It may seem like a weird system, but it works for me and smooths the sharkskin as far as the OCD goes.

- I collect New Gen Elites/UEs loose - TNA Toybiz/Marvel MOC - Everything else is MOC depending on if I like them and my general rule is if it's not the figure I'd get signed, then I don't buy it

I've become way more selective over the years. I'm a loose collector, and these days my collection is almost exclusively Ultimate Edition legends, and only the ones I want/strike nostalgic feelings for me. I collect all Ultimate Warrior figures, and very select non-UE like (90s) Undertaker and Macho Man figures. The other non-UEs are typically exclusives (SDCC Slim Jim Macho, SDCC Undertaker) and DM crow Sting (plz come back so we can get a UE)

I have not watched wrestling in years, I collect the eras I have nostalgia for...
Eras: End of Golden through the transition to Ruthless Aggression.
I'm mainly a loose collector. If it's a character I really like (Warrior lol), or something I think might be special down the line, or comes in really cool packaging I might buy multiples to keep one MOC and one loose. A lot of my collection is still in boxes as I organize space to better display them, but eventually almost every fog will be breathing outside the box
