I would say if you're a MOC collector than this is probably something you'll want to have because of the packaging and such, but if you collect loose this figure can be passed on. Cody will 10000% be getting tons of figures over the next couple years and they will probably be better than this one. It's all about preference though That's exactly it I think, I'm a loose collector and now that we've gotten to this price point I'd kinda feel iffy popping it out of the package as the whole presentation is really nice. I think it's a virtual lock that we get a UE Cody at retail at some point, I except that to happen as soon as they're done pumping out this current figure tbh. Everyone wants to rush to get the first one, but look at Finn Balor, AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar and Hogan. When these came to wwe or came back to wwe they had tons of figures made and cody being a top guy will get the same treatment. I personally like the ultimate but if I didn't have it I wouldn't be too stressed. Waiting for a main line ultimate isn't a big deal. His first few new Mattel figures have just seemed rushed. I feel like the next ultimate will be a home run |

So when Cody was available for order I don't think there was a limit because I remember my friend ordered 6 so it makes sense ringside would have these available to sell. In the case of Logan they had a limit of 2 so I'm very curious to see if ringside will have any of them and how many total. Also curious how they were able to work around the limit.

To me, it's about the attire and moment, his return was an epic moment, and having it in ultimate form will be better than any future release

I'm gonna crack the torso on this extra one I got from RSC so I can have another ultimate Cody. Just trying to decide if I want to put the torso on the DM legs or Top Picks legs. Right now, leaning towards top picks.

I feel like the next ultimate will be a home run Yup this is basically where I'm at. I like the Ultimate too, and the person who suggested to use the discount is also making a good point. I just think there will definitely be a better one, if not three or four better in the near future. He's probably surpassed Nakamura for my favorite active WWE wrestler, but even still I don't feel like I need every single Cody figure. I collect by era so one for this current era is good, I'd like to see a PG-era figure come back around with the IC and face-mask, that's really all I feel I need for the foreseeable future. I also have the DM Cody on pre-order for my separate DM sub-collection so I'm not completely devoid of him while I wait. |
