We didn’t see an ultimate Scott Steiner or rick Steiner. Wonder if we ain’t getting rick figs anymore. If we do, it likely won’t for a while, until the heat dies down a little. I'd be concerned if they showed Scott and not Rick. Showing neither could mean they're holding them back for a future reveal (we didn't see any main line UE figures beyond S20) or until things calm down. Rick was back in the news this week, so maybe not the best timing. |

UE Yoko looks like a work of art
Finally Elite Alpha Academy (albeit not loving the attire choice)
Judgment Day looks great (Finn & Dominik / not sure how I feel about Priest yet)
Elite McAfee is good
I never thought we'd see an unmasked Rey. Wish it was 1999 No Limit Soldiers Rey blue camo attire though.
All in all it wasnt the best reveals imo. I think Mattel is falling to being victim of quantity over quality. Id rather take half of what we saw today if the time was put in to make sure it was done right.

I get the attire choice from an LJN perspective. But unless there are jackets, I can't see myself dropping $70 for the Hart Foundation when the attires are so similar to their first release. Inverted colors or all pink would have been a better choice, imo. They even got the tights wrong. The heel hart foundation didn't have the hearts on their tank tops, and their tights only had a single black stripe down the legs.   Yeah I don’t know why they keep taking creative liberties with this line. Either stay true to the original LJN figure or just make it a series that can be whatever you want it to be with LJN style packaging. Don’t do both. Don’t give Funk tan chaps but then say you can’t give Hogan the big green or Piper can’t have a ringer shirt cuz that’s not what came with his figure. |

Speaking of "where the hell is ______"... Where the hell is Tony D' Angelo? Not a sign of even a basic. Doesn't matter. Bam Bam was one of 2 people to Main event the only wrestlemania in 1995. So he's the biggest male star. The biggest stars were and always measured by who knows them beyond just marks. And I'd be willing to bet if you asked 100 strangers who the biggest woman wrestling star is they'd either not know or say Chyna. Is that why Chyna's mania figure is infamous for rotting for literal years? Cause she's such a big star? No 'cause it was terrible. Her legends figure didn't warm did it? |

Lot of stuff to unpack here:
That Yoko UE is a must, I assume that's coming after Warrior next Spring
MNW is still shaping up to be my favorite line with the caveat of being Walmart exclusive. Filthy Animals Rey was a look I was sure we'd NEVER see, same with Fake Diesel, but they're both in the line.
BaF Teddy is out of left field too, which I can only assume a Smackdown GM version would be in the works to pair with RA Bischoff?
Legends is baffling in some ways with the amount of Hogans we have with Pre-Hulkamania and now Ichiban Hogan. Love that we're getting The Sultan and Capt. Lou, which means I can retire my custom.
The plus for that new Basic articulation is easier customizing, so I'll definitely be getting that Championship Showdown pack with HBK and Bulldog to convert to Elites.
the WM series is a total wash, not picking any of the figures up sadly except maybe Pat. Nicholas as the BaF killed me, never thought we'd get him.
A new Bearer Elite was long overdue, I may need both versions. Same with Terry Gordy to build up my Freebirds and New Gen cheesy gimmick shelves.
Three Faces of Foley is a day one purchase. Same with that UE Mankind, being a Foley mark I'm basically compelled to get them.
I called it with the CC Hart Foundation, I knew they were in the cards, but a little bit of a hard act to follow after the masterpiece of Piper and Animal.
I'm probably missing a lot but like I said, a ton to unpack and digest lol

This is your friendly reminder that what you are talking about was nearly 30 years ago and in the advent of social media has changed the metrics of stardom. More people alive today have seen Becky one way or the other than they have clips of Chyina from literal decades ago. So you're conflating exposure with popularity? Mistake. Trish Stratus and Lita were significantly more marketable and popular than Becky. They sold more magazines and so forth than Becky could ever hope to. The public was more interested in wrestling. Less than 2.5 million people watch WWE in the USA today, the mighty have fallen. |

Arguing the merits and popularity of women's wrestling as a whole is not the same as talking specifically about Becky Lynch and the fact that WWE has consistently booked her as one of the biggest stars/faces of the company for five years. But wasn't that the point of the original argument? That while she is the biggest female star today, she's not in the same category of the other three in the set. I think that is what the original posters were arguing about, not that Becky isn't the top female talent today, or for the past 5 years. I'm absolutely arguing that. |
