The Basic 141 Seth with the flouroscent looking suit is already sold out. How random is that. I haven’t bought a basic in years because of how bad they’ve been. With the new articulation, I’ll definitely be getting some so I can see why these are moving now. They're back now, it looks like. But I can see why people are buying them. Seth's beloved and people like his wacky clothes, and the fluorescent deco's something different and interesting. For a basic, it's pretty cool. |

$100 for the Foley set is a little steep, but I went for it...ill wait for the other online retailers to put up pre-orders for the rest of the stuff I want. The Ringside tax for getting things "early" is just too real when I can buy pre-order instock items and not have to wait for the in stock items, not get charged up front, free shipping and pay actual retail prices elsewhere Damn, that’s the price? Wasn’t the Raw Anniversary pack (Taker, Kid, Razor and the Raw letters) like $65? That’s quite a difference.
Ringside exclusive, the smaller quantity means a higher price. Plus the "Ringside premium."

Just curious, is the simplicity and ease of ordering the Ali being much more relaxed compared to the insanity and instant sellout of No Holds Barred last year because Mattel ironed out the kinks and have much more stock this time around? Or is there just not as much interest in this as there was for the NHB set?

We’ve gotten like 100 unmasked Kanes No we really havent. We had 2 elites and the latest one was series 10. Sooo.... technically the last was Decade of Dominance and he had 4 unmasked elites |

A ref Ali is cool but he isn’t really associated with Mania as much as Hogan, T, Piper, Lauper, Richter, and Andre. Definitely not the first person most would think of when remembering the event. And boxer Ali is before a lot of our time. We only know of his greatness through documentaries and highlights but never experienced them first hand. This set just doesn’t spark the same nostalgic excitement as a Slim Jim Macho or FTITL Mr T or GI Joe Slaughter or No Holds Barred. And it’s not really pulling in another major fandom as I don’t think there’s a huge boxing action figure collecting community. There’s not much crossover appeal. |
