My only complaint, outside Knight winning, was Logan needing brass knuckles to beat Ricochet. I get why they did it, but the man took Roman and Seth to the limit. He shouldn’t need to cheat to beat Ricochet of all people.
Outside that, I enjoyed every match.

- Logan vs Ricochet was good until the finish. - Cody vs Brock was good and I enjoyed Brock showing Cody respect. - Battle Royal was a money grab from Slim Jim; glad LA Knight won but also why have the US Champ be in it AND lose? He should’ve defended the title instead. - Rousey vs Baszler was bad, but the right person won. - McIntyre vs Gunther was good, right person won. - Rollins vs Balor was good, but too many kick outs after finishers, Balor lost and more stupid JD drama - Asuka vs Charlotte vs Bianca I fast forwarded through, but was a useless title change just to have MITB cash in and win - Reigns vs Uso was good until Solo (besides when Jey was ing them both up) and Jimmy interfered

it felt like there was way too many finishers that were used and kicked out of everyone was ing roman reigns or john cena kicking out of everything LIES. Only AEW does that. yeah I thought that was an AEW thing but it unfortunately happened in WWE last night

Also my god was there a lot of advertisement during SummerSlam, a lot more than I’ve seen compared to any other WWE PPV/PLE. It felt like watching a Michael Bay Transformers movie with all the C4, SlimJim, Rocket Mortage and Mike’s Hard Lemonade product placement 😂

Also I still think the Bloodline saga is the best story in wrestlings history. I doubt Jimmy just rejoined Roman. Probably got pissed at Jey getting all the attention. They’ve been telling such a layered story for the past three years and I love it. Going to love it more when Roman falls to Cody.
Yes, cinema.

I’m dying for this crapto fast forward to Mania so Roman drops the title. The well has run dry. But there’s still a possibility that Roman keeps the title past Mania, which is crazy.

I've loved every second of the Bloodline story, but Jimmy turning on Jey could be their jumping the shark moment. I think they've earned the benefit of doubt though so I'll see how it pans out.
Decent show overall, few matches underdelivered but I enjoyed most of it.

They’re not really adding anything to the long title reign by pulling oh Roman wins after so and so turns/attacks his opponent. It’s happened a lot a lot already and it’s just turning the reign into a farce now. Boring. Done. I’d rather he just beat Jey on his own, be an actual strong champion.

People really don’t see the whole point of Roman’s reign and how it’s all going to lead to Cody beating him.

Went to Summerslam last night and had a very good time. I haven't rewatched the show on Peacock yet, but this is my initial thoughts from being there.
Logan Paul Vs, Ricochet - Construction is crazy bad in Detroit right now, so my friends and I got there just a tad bit late and missed Logan Paul's entrance. Ricochet's Optimus Prime gear was pretty cool. This match was ok, looked a little sloppy at times. Wasn't a huge fan of the ending with the brass knuckles, but does it really matter? Logan is only here quarterly and Ricochet is going to be damned back to the midcard.
Cody Rhodes Vs. Brock Lesnar - This match was awesome. Loved the story of Cody just not giving up. Kept beating the count, but Brock just kept murdering him. WHY WAS CODY NOT DQ'D?!?! That's my only complaint with this match. Brock's shorts exploding was pretty funny.
Shayna Baszler Vs. Ronda Rousey - Boring match, Ronda hits a brutal looking knee on Shayna, glad Shayna won. Keep Baszler looking strong and build her back up as a top dog in the women's division.
Slim Jim Battle Royale - That arena damn near exploded when LA Knight made his entrance. This was very fun. Omos returning was unexpected, Chad Gable had a great showing, Miz/Waller's double finish was great. Kross cost AJ, hopefully leading to the end of this awful feud and LA and Sheamus kept their mini-feud going being the final two. LA Knight winning was absolutely the right choice. I bet this leads to Austin Theory beating Santos Escobar, then hopefully LA Knight beats Theory.
Gunther Vs. Drew McIntyre - I don't know how it came across on TV, but this match didn't hit. Drew hitting his dive over the ropes is always nice. Gunther hitting a super combo with the dive, lariat, powerbomb was good.
Seth Rollins Vs. Finn Balor - Match of the night for me. Balor with the "Seven" paint over his shoulder scar was great and Rollins coming out in the Summerslam 2016 vest was good too. Wasn't a huge fan of Rollins pink pants though. Maybe it looked better on TV. I didn't see it well enough on the big screen. It started out kinda slow, but really picked up the pace and the near falls had us going crazy. There was 2 times where we all thought Balor was really gonna do it. I'm a little disappointed that Rollins retains, but at least this will kickstart Priest's face run and introduce JD McDonagh into Judgment Day.
Bianca Belair Vs. Asuka Vs. Charlotte - Good match, although the Bianca injury segment went a little too long. The final sequence was pretty good. Sad that Asuka yet again doesn't really get much of a reign as champ, but it lead to probably one of my favorite moments I've seen live with IYO's cash-in. I think we all knew it was coming when Bianca won, but we all went insane once IYO's music hit. Everything about it was great, the full sprint to the ring, Bayley taking out Asuka and Charlotte, Bianca attempting to fight back against Bayley, then IYO's moonsault. Fantastic stuff and I'm happy Dakota got to come out afterwards too. I saw Damage Control debut at Summerslam last year, now I see them reach the top this year. Makes me very happy.
Roman Reigns Vs. Jey Uso - Once again, I don't know how it was on TV, but this match was not hitting. Especially when you compare it last year's main event where they flipped the damn ring. The whole point of this match was Tribal Combat is 1-on-1. NO INTERFERENCES. So when Solo came out, I checked out. And then Jimmy came out and turned on Jey, then I REALLY checked out. I know they will try and explain it on Smackdown in the coming weeks, but I just don't want an Uso brothers feud. For me, this is where the Bloodline story has finally become too much. I'm sure this will end up leading to a Bloodline 4-Way at Survivor Series or Royal Rumble.
Overall I enjoyed the show, probably a decent 7/10. Might change when I watch it back on Peacock. Regardless, I had a good time.

Balor-Rollins I really think was underrated. I think they stole the show for me. I think it deserved to go for 10+ more minutes to add to high stakes match,
Loved the finish, I really think Finn could have went over here. Even if it was for small reign.
Love how connected in time it was to the 2016 match and the full circle history story and plays on in match spots and the attires.
It was intelligent booking at its finest!
It reminded me of Edge-Finn (understandable reason as to why for them) that had me wanting more

I think it would be very very interesting to have Balor beat Rollins and further explore that dynamic within Judgment Day. A few months ago I was calling them "jobber day" on here but they've really got a lot better lately. Cody will beat Brocky to keep his momentum intact. He's crazy over. I think McIntyre will beat Gunther(probably why he re-signed) to end his reign so Gunther can move up the card. I dont know about the Bloodline match? will they leave it on Reigns? I don't see him dropping it to an Uso? Bayzler is obviously gonna murder Rousey and be positioned as a threat within the womens division. With RRs contract running out shes gonna do the job on her way out. I could see them putting the title back on Charlotte or Bianca. Theres just way more options with them as champ IMHO. most interested I've been in Summerslam for years.... Wasn't far off in fairness. Gunthers dispatch of McIntyre was impressive too Cody leaves Summerslam looking like a megastar. Rollins vs Balor was excellent. Didn't see the Uso heel turn coming.

Reigns vs Jey was a good match with a great ending… crowd loved it. I agree that it may have been a lil predictable but it was still a lil shocking too. The Bloodline storyline is looking strong.
