I've been having a good think about this one since I was talking to Brain the other night in the classic match thread and I thought it might generate a nice bit of discussion. Here are mine in no particular order....at that? Id say I'm missing some bangers......
1) Bret Hart vs the 123 Kid from Summer 1994
2) Austin/HBK vs Davey/Owen from May 1997 for the tag straps
3) HBK vs Mankind from August 1997
4) Austin vs Rock from November 1998...night after SSeries 98. Underrated bout of theirs with a nuclear hot crowd.
5) Rock vs HHH " I quit" from the night after RR99 with Chynas heel turn.
Now somebody is bound to name one Ill be cursing myself for missing.....

Bulldog vs Owen for European belt-March 97
Naitch vs Perfect - January 93
Bret vs Kid for the WWF Title- July 94
Mach vs Yoko for the WWF Title- January 94
Bret vs Hakushi- July 95
These 5 are always my go-to's when I wanna watch a classic 90s Raw match

I would include Marty Jannetty vs Shawn Michaels from May 1993 and Rob Van Dam vs Jeff Hardy from May 1997 which was a preview of the future. |

I am sure more will come to mind as I read other peoples, but mine are,
Rock vs HHH: Steel Cage Match, I remember being so hyped for this one and those two always delivered in the ring and a cage match back then still had a bit of an aura aroun dit.
Marty Jannetty vs Doink: 2 out of 3 falls match, this is a real hidden gem and one of the best Doink matches and probably my favorite match from that first year of RAW.
Bret Hart vs 123 Kid: Just a great match, super fun and Bret actually gave a lot to Kid in this match, he didn't just go out there and squash him.
Shawn Michaels vs Marty Jannetty: Their 1993 IC title match! This was 1000 million times better than their match at the Royal Rumble. They also had a great match in 1996 when Jannetty was part of the New Rockers.
There are like a ton of honorable mentions and I am sure the more I think about this, the chances are I will wish I picked some others!

Bulldog vs Owen for European belt-March 97 Feels like this never gets mentioned when classic matches are talked about. I personally think it's on par with Bret/Bulldog at Summerslam. |
